The Special Needs Working Group formed in August 2011 following changes that were made to the Regulations relating to special needs. Those who were aware of the changes knew that they would be extremely harmful to low income Nova Scotians. The Group formed to reverse the changes and to defend the rights of low income Nova Scotians by making sure that people with special needs received the support they required.
