Alistair has been in the Financial Services industry for 30 years. Alistair started in the Lloyds Banking Graduate Management programme in London after graduating from Aberdeen University. He then came back to work in Scotland with Scottish Amicable in 1990 and learned a lot of his expertise in Pensions and Investment planning during this period, and building up the Appointed representative network. Prudential purchased Scottish Amicable in 1996. There was a demand in the market for private client Independent professional financial planning, as well as to the Corporate market, and hence A1 Financial Solutions was set up in 2001. Alistair heads up the Pension, Investment and Financial Planning side of the business and has built up a very loyal client bank. All our business comes from referrals from existing clients and professional connections, and we have clients throughout Scotland and the UK. Alistair is married to Linda and has 2 children Hamish and Victoria and is very much a family man. His other passion is Sport and he loves his Golf, football, Rugby, Hockey and Cricket, as well as International travel.

Linda has a wealth of experience in Banking, Sales and Marketing, Information Technology and Property. Linda started with Scottish Equitable and has also worked for Bank of America and Computer Associates. Linda brings her organisational and marketing skills to A1 Financial Solutions and is a great asset to the Team. Linda also has a passion for excellent cuisine and enjoys playing Golf and travelling.

Paul Waldron has been in the financial industry for 25 years. He started his working career at Royal London Insurance servicing his book of clients who at the time paid their insurance premiums 4 weekly in cash. This was a great start to his career as he was able to build up a strong rapport with his many clients. Following this he has enjoyed numerous posts within Standard Life as an Appointed Representative along with Scottish Amicable as a Mortgage & Life Insurance advisor. Paul became a financial adviser at the age of 23. Paul heads up the Mortgage & Protection side of the business and has the full Financial Planning Certificate and Mortgage Advice Qualifications. Paul's area of expertise is mortgage advice within the whole mortgage market covering Purchases, Remortgages, First Time Buyers, he also has specialist knowledge in the Investment/Buy to let market along with the related areas of Buildings and Contents insurance, Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover, Mortgage Protection and Term Assurance life cover. Paul lives with Sarah and between them have a beautiful 3yr old little boy called Hugo. Paul loves spending time with his family and is certainly kept on his toes with Hugo, he also has a passion for eating out and of course holidays in the sun. He does try and get out for the odd game of golf.
