Dr. Morgan grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and his family is originally from Clyde, NC. He moved to Asheville from Wilmington, NC and loves living in the mountains. He enjoys hiking, fishing, basketball, church activities and a good board game. He lives in Asheville with his wife Kristen, his son and their German Shepherd. Dr. Morgan joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 2019.

Dr. Edwards, his wife and two young children relocated to Asheville from Baltimore Maryland where he did medical school and residency at the University of Maryland. He was on faculty there for 7 years prior to moving to Asheville. He loves spending time with his wife and children and two German short haired pointers and enjoys being outdoors. He is passionate about coffee which is good given his young children and pointers

Born in Maryland, Dr. Clements has lived in Asheville with his wife, Evan, and two children since 1999. He enjoys word games, puzzles, and a healthy, fit lifestyle. He joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 2009.
Dr. Reilly grew up in Southeast Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. He enlisted in the Navy after high school and served 6 years as active duty in the submarine fleet. After the military, his education has gradually moved him south by attending the University of Connecticut, Virginia Tech Carilion school of medicine, and finally East Tennessee State University. Dr. Reilly enjoys outdoor adventure sports such as hiking, biking, surfing, and scuba diving. He joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 2018.
Dr. Moore was raised in Aiken, SC before attending Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She completed her internal medicine residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University/ Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. She and her family relocated to Asheville from Florence, SC where she practiced outpatient adult and geriatric medicine. When not working, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with her husband Brad and two elementary-aged daughters, running, baking, reading, and traveling. She met her husband at MUSC, and he is a radiologist at the Asheville VAMC.
Dr. Owens, a native of Jackson, TN has lived in Asheville since 2009. He is a graduate of The university of Tennessee School of Medicine. Dr. Owens and his wife, Kristie, have 2 children. Their family enjoys outdoor activities and are avid equestrians.
Dr. Williams enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two boys. She is also a musician and enjoys writing and recording music in a variety of genres in her spare time.
A native of Asheville, Dr. LeMauviel is particularly interested in integrative and functional medicine as they pertain to common internal medicine problems. She has two daughters and enjoys gardening, traveling, the arts, cooking, and skiing. She joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 2007.

Erica is a clinical pharmacist with In-Clinic Rx who works in our office at Carolina Internal Medicine. She graduated in 2021 from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania with her Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD). She completed a post-graduate year 1 community-based pharmacy residency with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Eden Drug in Eden, NC. At the office, Erica works closely with the staff to help manage chronic conditions by assisting to coordinate care, optimize medications, and educate patients about their condition(s) and medication through Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM). Erica acts as a preceptor for pharmacy students on experiential rotation from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. In her free time, Erica enjoys going for walks with her dog, Hank, and reading.
Dr. Gregory Glance attended UNC-A with Bachelor's Degrees in Chemistry and Biology (1978-1982). He received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1986 and completed Internal Medicine Residency at Moses Cone Hospital in 1989. From 1989 until 1993, he was in solo practice in Asheville, and then joined Asheville Internal Medicine in 1993. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Glance enjoys hiking, traveling, family, and spending time with his wife Elizabeth.

Dr. Spivey joined CIMA in May 2019, after 27 years of private practice with Internal Medicine Specialists of Atlanta. In addition to general internal medicine, he has a special interest in HIV disease.
Born in Germany, and raised in Virginia and Alabama, he and his partner moved to Asheville to enjoy it's quality of life and great outdoors.
Dr. Spivey enjoys hiking, listening to classical music, reading history, and traveling.
Prior to joining Carolina Internal Medicine in February 2016, Dr. Weaver had a successful practice in Haywood County and also worked at Mission Hospital. He enjoys internal medicine because of the rich relationships that form with patients, and because of the specialties breadth. He has been actively involved in medical education throughout his career, regularly sponsoring medical students and residents at his practice, or at the hospital. He serves as an clinical assistant professor for Wake Forest University School of Medicine, as well as the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Before attending medical school, he taught school in rural New Mexico. He lives in Haywood County, spending most of his spare time raising three children with his wife Mollie, a practicing pediatrician in Madison County, and running, cycling, and swimming when he can.

Dr. Joshua Cox graduated medical school summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo, New York. He completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he was selected as a chief resident with a focus on primary care education. He and his wife, Aneela, a practicing integrative family physician, fell in love with Asheville after doing their 200-hour yoga teacher training here in 2015. In their spare time they enjoy cooking, hiking, yoga, and swimming.

Dr. Smith relocated to Asheville from Johnson City, Tennessee. She and her husband enjoy running, biking, traveling, playing sports, church activities, and walking their dogs. Dr. Smith joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 2005.
Dr. Hruska grew up in Storm Lake, Iowa. He was drawn to the Southeast to complete his medical training. He has lived in the Asheville area since 2001. Dr. Hruska joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 2021 after 20 years of practice in Weaverville, North Carolina. He, his wife Kristine and his three children enjoy hiking with their dogs, mountain biking, movie nights and traveling.
Dr. Cavanaugh, her husband, Chris, and their daughter enjoy living in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where their interests include hiking, whitewater rafting, travel, cooking, and cheering on the Vanderbilt Commodores. Dr. Cavanaugh joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 1995.
Dr. Kubitschek relocated to Asheville, NC from Houston, TX, but is originally from Kansas. He and his wife have eight children. The Kubitschek's enjoy soccer, basketball, water sports, and traveling. Dr. Kubitschek joined Carolina Internal Medicine in 1985.
