REACH OUT MORONGO BASIN

Established in 1998, Reach Out Morongo Basin (ROMB) is an Interfaith Volunteer Caregiving Program. Our mission is to provide support, help, education, and referrals to our senior and disabled neighbors in the Morongo Basin. We are able to use volunteers to provide informal caregiving to our neighbors. This includes: friendly visits (both in person and by phone), shopping and errands, personal business help, minor home repairs, yard work, and transportation to medical, dental, and social service appointments. Reach Out fills in the gaps of traditional paid providers. The nature of the tasks assigned to our volunteers appear ordinary. Yet, these tasks often fall through the cracks as our neighbors age. Having before only catered to Twentynine Palms, Reach Out chose to expand. Our neighbors in the entire Morongo Basin were seeking our services.
