Brent is the Director of Training and one of the founding partners at CMBD. He is the lead tutor on the CMI Management & Leadership programmes and his responsibilities include the development of tutors and trainers as well as overseeing course content and quality.

A highly experienced and well respected business coach, consultant and trainer, John specialises in working with business leaders and their teams to help them drive significant growth and change.
He has coached individuals to take on senior responsibilities, organisations to innovate and grow, dysfunctional teams to be effective and businesses to change their culture. He has worked with over 200 organisations coaching, mentoring and training business owners, MD's, senior directors and managers.

John is the lead tutor on the CMBD level 7 Strategic Change module. He is also an enthusiastic and qualified Rugby coach, a school governor and chairs his local business association.
Julie is an experienced business coach with expertise and knowledge gained from continued professional development and from over 30 years of working directly with businesses and organisations. These have ranged in size from SME's to international companies and crossed many sectors. Her experience in workforce development has also enabled her to build up an unrivalled network of contacts and specialist knowledge about sources of funding and support available to businesses across all sectors and sizes.
In 2016 Julie harnessed her wealth of experience to start her own consultancy business where her sole focus is making a real difference to people's lives through coaching and working with businesses to ensure that individuals and their teams are given the opportunity to achieve the goals and gain the skills, they need to maximise their full potential.

Liz Mason is a law graduate and highly experienced professional in international business, with over 30 years' experience in the private sector, public sector and higher education. She has worked in industry primarily for SME manufacturing firms in the chemicals, textile and printing industries. In the public sector Liz has worked in a consultancy role as an international trade advisor and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of international business support programmes for firms within the Yorkshire & Humber region.

For the last ten years Liz has delivered international business executive education training programmes to firms both at UK and international institutions. Liz is a distance learning tutor and examiner and trainer for the Institute of Export & International Trade. Liz has taught at University level at two leading UK Universities, primarily at the University of Leeds, for the last 10 years.
Liz has also taught and delivered training sessions on firm strategies for the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Her teaching in higher education includes delivering courses in International Business Management, International Economic Environment, European Business, Managing and Exploiting Intellectual Capital and Globalisation of Innovation. She has also participated in an online distance learning courses including a Management For Innovation MOOC and through scheduled webinar sessions.
Martin's main attributes are as a strategic thinker, critical friend and networker. In his role as the Managing Director of a substantial engineering SME, these skills are key in dealing on a day to day basis with staff, clients, suppliers, support agencies/groups and academia. They are also vital in his positions as a Non-Executive and as a trained Executive Coach.
Martin has a strong desire to support the engineers and entrepreneurs of the future and to provide real life work experience for young people in Schools, FE & HE as well as his work as a business coach.

Serena is a vastly experienced Chartered Management Accountant, (commercial exciting stuff, not the traditional tax and year-end work) specialising in the financial management of SMEs where finance is often the weakest link. She helps business owners make big shifts in their lives by making sure their business works for them, creating an exciting strategy for what they really want. Helping them take control of their business finances, taking much of the stress, uncertainty and pressure out of their businesses - freeing them up to get back to what they love, and building their future.
