Community Action Derby is a registered charity providing support and guidance for voluntary and community groups. We encourage, support and develop individuals, groups and organisations involved in voluntary action. We also promote new initiatives which tackle social exclusion and economic disadvantage, and work to establish partnerships between the public, private and voluntary sectors... Community Action is a member of NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action), which has defined four broad categories that underpin the work of local infrastructure organisations like ourselves. From coordinating and signposting volunteers, to bringing the voice and expertise of the sector to strategic partnerships, we play a vital role in bringing people together to make a positive impact.
