Adam Hartley

Adam is a former technology journalist and editor, with over 20 years of PR experience in B2B/ consumer technology and gaming. Adam is passionate about helping technology start-ups grow and develop their brands, products and services through a mix of carefully targeted PR campaigns with high quality and engaging earned, paid, social and owned content. As a former tech news editor, Adam ensures that all of Spreckley's content and PR campaigns are constantly monitoring and reacting to fast-changing news agendas, in order to keep our clients in the news and front of mind across their target audiences, medias and influencers.

Alex Henderson

Job Titles:
  • Junior Account Manager
Alex joined Spreckley in April 2021. He graduated from the University of Roehampton in 2019, studying a joint honours degree in Journalism and Spanish. He enjoys creating a wide range of content and has previous experience contributing to pieces of interactive media on the Lisbon Treaty for the European Commission. Alex is passionate about sustainability and during his time at university Alex was nominated for a BBC Worldwide Student Journalism Award for a piece he wrote entitled ‘The Masculinity of Meat'. Since joining Spreckley Alex has supported with long-form writing tasks such as the annual report from the Cloud Industry Forum. He has worked with businesses across a number of industries such as HR, cybersecurity, IT, Cloud and SaaS.

Alex Sowden

Alex has more than 18 years of front-line media relations in the B2B technology space. He has worked with both blue-chip multinationals and mid-size companies, taking complex ideas and technologies and making them accessible and relevant to a wider audience. At Spreckley, Alex's clients include the National Physical Laboratory, the UK's national metrology institute and the home of ultra-precise measurement and timekeeping, ISB Global, a waste management software provider and Buckzy, a Canadian fintech offering real-time global payments solutions. Alex thrives on working with companies and organisations that are innovative and original, are unafraid to address important or controversial issues head on, and who want to make a positive difference to how people live and work.

Anum Davis

Job Titles:

Anum joined Spreckley in January 2019 as a Business Development Manager and is now at the centre of the agency's growth and new business. Her responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the new business process including prospecting activities, generating new leads, pipeline management and reporting as well as handling inbound requests for quotes, coordinating pitch and proposal documents and leading on the response for tenders and RFP requests. She's the first point of contact for new business enquires and is instrumental in managing all new client relationships. Her responsibilities also cover the overseas markets, working closely with GlobalCom PR Network and Space Communications Alliance on international PR requests from prospective clients. Her previous roles include new business management in other leading PR consultancies as well as over 10 years' sales and business development experience within the media and communications industry.

Avinash Nandra

Avinash first began his career working for a housing PR agency, where he worked with councils and developers to create new homes. Following this, he started his journey at Spreckley PR, landing himself an Account Executive position in April 2019 and has worked his way up to Junior Director.

Benjamin Hart

Benjamin is a masters graduate with a passion for Public Relations. Having graduated from Newcastle University with a MA in Media and Public Relations he joined Spreckley to begin his PR journey. While at university he volunteered at a local PR agency Number Nine Communications that specialised in consumer-based beauty clients gaining key copywriting experience. Since joining Spreckley Benjamin has worked on accounts covering web scraping, E-Commerce, Cloud, Cyber security, Fin-Tech and insolvency. Benjamin likes to contribute to Spreckley blogs discussing medical technology news, trends and topics.

Gabrielle White

Gabrielle has worked with a varied portfolio of organisations during her six-year career in PR and marketing. From multi-billion dollar AI start-ups and world leading IT services providers with 100 years of expertise, to government ministers and monarchs. She uses her flair for media relations and content writing to get her clients noticed in the right places, including in BBC News, the Telegraph, Financial Times, The Sunday Telegraph and more. In her role as Senior Media Manager, Gabrielle uses her knowledge of trade, national and international media landscapes to earn quality coverage that reaches key audiences. Developing and executing press releases, thought leadership articles, marketing copy and PR and messaging strategies also fall into her wheelhouse. Gabrielle has worked with organisations in a range of sectors, including telecoms, emerging risk, cyber security, IT services, accountancy and finance, life sciences, proptech, legaltech, ecommerce, space, defence and intelligence and CSR. She has both a Law degree and a Masters in Journalism, and mentors undergraduate students to support them as they step into the world of work.

Joe Jordan

Joe started out as a marketing intern at London Travel Clinic, before making the switch to corporate communications with Spreckley. He spent four years at the University of Leeds, deepening his knowledge of comms by completing an MA in Corporate Communications, Marketing and PR. Joe enjoys the journey it takes to deliver a client's message, from formulating the idea and creating the content, to finding the right home for this in the media. In his time at Spreckley, he has worked with clients across a variety of sectors, including fintech, wealth management, crypto, SaaS and cybersecurity.

Lawrence Rosenberg

Lawrence is people-first PR natural with a passion for delivering exceptional results for clients. He's developed an impressive media network across national and trade outlets, securing coverage in the likes of Bloomberg, BBC and the front page of the Evening Standard. Before moving into PR, Lawrence was the Director of internationally acclaimed think tank The Pinsker Centre, working alongside Prime Ministers, G7 ministers, and international leaders - with many of whom he still keeps in close contact. Lawrence also has more formal experience in the public affairs sector, as a researcher on Lord Austin's ‘Mainstream' campaign during the 2019 election and with PA agency Hemington Consultancy. A skilled communicator and writer, he's passionate about using those talents to benefit clients who are making the world a better place.

Lydia Van Wijk

Lydia is a Account Executive at Spreckley where she is responsible for media liaison and content creation. On a mission to promote the image of her clients, she is focused on creating meaningful relationships with relevant audiences and creating compelling stories.

Mareia Abed

Mareia studied English Literature at SOAS, University of London, to further her love for reading and writing. She then went on to be a teaching assistant before discovering the world of PR via her traineeship at the Taylor Bennett Foundation. Mareia was able to experience both inhouse and agency PR as well as several sectors. Mareia's interest in tech PR led her to her current role at Spreckley, where she works with clients in a variety of industries, including cybersecurity, fintech, HR, and climate tech. Her ability to develop her knowledge on different client accounts has made her enjoy working on several varying accounts.

Martin Fitzgerald

Martin started his career as a Brand Marketing Executive at Bord na Mona, Ireland's leading energy provider based in Dublin. He then moved to Sourcechain, a leading London-based IT platform, where he gained valuable experience in tech-related topics and an understanding of the B2B media landscape with regards to brand management and PR campaigns.

Nathan began working as an Executive Assistant and Content Editor for mPowr Publishing, before deciding to pursue a career in tech PR with Spreckley. Having an MA in Creative Writing from his time studying in Southampton, Nathan enjoys working with content to target and reach wider audiences, and adapt his skill towards B2B communications. Since joining Spreckley, Nathan has worked on accounts covering IT, E-Commerce, Cloud, Segmented Access Management and Manufacturing Quality Intelligence, and he has enjoyed combining his general interest in the world of tech with his knack for editing and writing content.

Richard Merrin - CEO

Job Titles:

Public relations professional with 25 plus years' experience in the field of enterprise IT, business to business and reputation management, Richard is heavily involved in the IT industry bodies such as the Cloud Industry Forum, as well as an active member of the Guild of Communications in the City of London. With pan-European and wider global experience, he is expert in helping companies enter the UK market - he is a Board member of the international PR network GlobalCom. Richard has experience ranging from start-ups to mid-tier private sector enterprises as well as private equity backed turnarounds, AIM listed and FTSE 250 corporates.

Roxanne Kingsman

PR and marketing professional who uses storytelling to accelerate growth for companies with purpose, Roxanne's approach is human-to-human instead of B2B. Her experience includes leading national press campaigns for the UK's synchrotron, ground-up content marketing and PR campaigns for martech startups, including Aiden.AI who was soon after acquired by Twitter, as well as leading MarComms for EMEA and Russia for data.ai, the world's first and leading mobile data analytics company. Roxanne has worked in both consumer and B2B focussed agencies, led international PR client side and consulted independently. This breadth of experience awards the perspective of navigating multiple stakeholder requirements, integrating PR with sales and marketing goals.

Sabihah Choudhury

Before joining Spreckley, Sabihah completed an English degree at City, University of London, deepening her love for reading and growing her historical knowledge of renowned pieces of literature. During this time, she was involved in co-writing a book about racism and discrimination with other young people, growing her creative skills. After graduating, Sabihah worked briefly at The Guardian as part of the communications team where she was able to stretch these skills through producing stakeholder briefings, newsletter content, and press releases. Since joining Spreckley, she has worked with clients across a range of sectors from cybersecurity to data management. Sabihah enjoys contributing to the research and development of media campaigns and content and continues to broaden her skills in communications and media liaison.

Sasha Arion

Before entering the exciting industry of PR, Sasha completed a Modern Languages degree at Newcastle University, where she became a proficient communicator in French and Spanish. While studying, she composed and edited creative writing materials, including blogs and feature articles for university magazines. This passion for writing continued post-graduation, when Sasha worked as a content writer in Valencia. Within this role, she produced engaging content through careful research, helping to enhance company storytelling and foster positive brand exposure. Since joining Spreckley, Sasha has worked with clients across a wide range of sectors, from healthcare to web data extraction. She actively seeks to elevate the image of clients and enjoys contributing towards impactful media campaigns. She is regularly broadening her knowledge of B2B communications and developing skills in media liaison.

Sean joined Spreckley as an Account Executive in June 2015 and is now responsible for the day-to-day direction of a number of clients at the company. Alongside his account management skills, Sean is a content specialist and frequently takes responsibility for writing projects on behalf of clients.
