Charmain is an experienced Safeguarding Lead who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
Charmain joined Bredon School in 2015 after working as a Pastoral, Behaviour and Safeguarding Lead in a variety of schools.
Charmain thoroughly enjoys working alongside children, young people, parents and staff, and is passionate about raising standards and striving for excellence. She wants our students to continue to feel safe and cared for in an environment whereby they feel valued, respected, listen to, understood, and have a sense of purpose and belonging. This will be accomplished by fostering a positive culture that is inclusive, supportive, compassionate and kind, as well as instilling the importance of responsibility.
Away from school Charmain enjoys time outdoors; cycling, paddle boarding, hill walking and running.

Aatif is also the Founder and Chairman of Dukes Education, a leading provider of mainstream independent education with nurseries, schools, colleges. In addition, Dukes has a university admissions consultancy and is an operator of summer schools.
Growing up with dyslexia, Aatif had to work hard to find his own way to succeed and credits the encouragement and support of his family and school as crucial to this success. He founded the Cavendish Education Group in 2013 with the simple aim to ‘give others the chance to succeed against the odds and in the face of obstacles.'
Aatif is Deputy Chairman of Governors at St. James Independent Schools and is part of the CReSTeD Council (Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils).
He has a first class degree in Mathematics and Economics and a British Army commission, which he used to work with Army Cadets for over 20 years. In 2019, Aatif was awarded the Freedom of City of London for services to education.

Jon joined Bredon in September 2021 as the Housemaster of Thomas House. After studying Geography and Physical Education at the University of Leeds he took up a position as a Geography Teacher at Sedbergh School in Cumbria. Jon stayed in Employment here for a further 20 years working in roles as Lead Internal Verifier & Head of Department in BTEC (covering Sport & Exercise Science, Business and Agriculture), Master in Charge of Running & Athletics, whilst working as a coach in Strength and Conditioning, Rugby, Football and Triathlon. He's even coached wrestling. Jon also worked as an Assistant Housemaster, tutor and a GTP mentor.
Jon has organised and created national and international events in Fell running and hosted shows at the prestigious Kendal Mountain Film Festival. One of his real passions is to commentate on running events, particularly the national relays.
When not teaching Jon enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, running and fishing.

Married with three young children, outside of school, Nick is the proud owner of a flock of rare breed Manx sheep and enjoys spending time in the countryside with his family where he enjoys fishing, country pursuits and farming. He is a Governor of Hartpury University and Hartpury College.

Nick joined Bredon School in September 2019 from West Heath School where he was Deputy Principal for eight years. Prior to this he has enjoyed a rich and diverse teaching career that has seen him teach at an all boys' selective Grammar school, an Independent HMC secondary school and an Independent IAPS prep boarding school. During this time Nick taught a variety of subjects both as a head of department and classroom teacher including English, Biology, Physical Education, A Level Sports Science and was a QTS mentor.

Rob joined the Royal Engineers a few days after his 16th birthday and went on to serve 14 years in the British Army. His role took him all over the world from the Falklands to Iraq and five years living in Germany. Leaving the Army Rob used his many learnt skills to transition into education and became a behaviour manager in a state school. The knowledge and experience gained within the role and promotions to a head of house, deputy designated safeguarding lead allowed Rob to gain years of experience in supporting young people. Having empathy, understanding and warmth towards students and their parents is what Rob has found paramount.
Rob, along with Nicola (Wife) Joined Bredon school in 2015 after 11 years at his previous school. Rob and Nicola started off as junior boys house parents. Over the last 8 years Rob has been promoted within and is now into his 3rd year of Director of Boarding here at Bredon and he is passionate about giving every child the foundation to achieve both academically but just as importantly socially. Having a holistic approach and giving all our boarders the key skills to flourish is paramount. He fulfils this role with vigour, understanding and a well organised approach with communication to the boarders, his peers and parents high on his agenda.
Socially for Rob is all about walking Ronnie our dog and enjoying the world on our holidays with Nicola.
He joins Cavendish Education with over twenty years of strategic leadership experience within private sector Specialist Education & Children's Services.
In 1998 Simon developed one of the UK's first dedicated residential schools for young people with Asperger Syndrome. In turn, this led to a number of senior leadership roles across specialist provision within the Farleigh Education Group.
In 2002 The Farleigh Education Group became part of Priory Group, the UK's largest provider of private sector specialist education and healthcare. Since Priory's acquisition, Simon has led the growth and development of the company's SEN & Children's Services portfolio across numerous strategic leadership roles.
Appointed to the Priory Board as Chief Executive Officer in 2016 he continued to shape the direction of the company through the ongoing development and acquisition of forward thinking Neurodiversity school provisions.
Simon is passionate about providing the highest possible outcomes for young people and is an Alumni of the Windsor Leadership Trust.

His career in education covers the full gamut of school categories: selective and non-selective, co-ed and single sex, boarding and day, senior, junior and even nursery level. In the classroom, he was primarily an English teacher, but has additionally taught Latin, Theatre Studies and Film Studies, and was a producer of school plays.
He enjoyed fifteen years as the Head of a boarding and day school in Berkshire. He was on the Main Committee and Professional Development Committee of the Society of Heads, training new Heads on behalf of the Society, and he has trained senior European teachers under the EU's Erasmus+ programme.
Over time, he has supported the work of Cavendish Education in a number of areas including coronavirus management, operations management, health and safety, INSET and planning.
He is an Associate of HorseHeard (who deliver Equine Facilitated Learning), is a Trustee of a local heritage charity and is the Secretary of the Gloucestershire Cambridge Society. He is a Trooper in the Honourable Artillery Company Light Cavalry.

Steve was appointed to Bursar of Bredon School in October 2019 having worked in the Financial Service sector for in excess of 20 years. A qualified accountant (ACCA) Steve also has extensive experience of managing IT, Operations and Finance teams.
Steve was educated at Sir Thomas Rich's Grammar School, Gloucester before heading to the University of Salford where he graduated in 1997. Married to Helen, Steve has two children and is an avid fan and season ticket holder of Gloucester Rugby.

Emily is the CFO of Cavendish Education.
She is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' experience in Practice and multi-site, heavily regulated businesses within international Corporate (US and European), Private Equity and family run business environments.
Prior to joining Cavendish Education, Emily has spent the last 11 years within Pharmaceuticals and healthcare with Finance Director roles focused on integration, transformation, systems implementation, HR and IT management and growth based in both the UK and Germany.
Emily has focused on developing the Financial, IT and People strategy and is passionate about people development and supporting team members grow in their personal development.
Emily supports Cavendish Education and its schools in all areas of financial management and planning.

Esther joined Bredon in March 2022 from an Independent Preparatory School in Cheltenham where she was Admissions Manager.
After a career as a Media & PR specialist, Esther managed the Press Office for Cheltenham & Gloucester part of the prestigious LLoyds Banking Group for many years.
Overseeing the admissions process from the initial enquiry through to welcoming children and their families to the Bredon community is something that Esther feels very passionate about. Delivering a service that supports a families investment in their child's education is top of her priorities. Esther also looks after the Marketing Team at Bredon along with developing the school's profile and key messages.
In her free time, Esther enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When she isn't watching her daughter play Hockey, Cricket and Tennis, she enjoys spending time in the garden and at the Theater.

Her career in marketing spans a variety of sectors including financial services and the uniformed services where she held Marketing Adviser roles both for the British Army Recruiting Group as well as the Police service.
She was Marketing Manager for a large further education college responsible for Post 16 student recruitment and has worked extensively with young people aged between 16-24 years old as part of a Safer Roads Partnership.
Gemma joined the independent schools sector in 2012 as Marketing and Admissions Manager for Bredon School, a specialist dyslexia boarding and day school in Gloucestershire. In 2015, she helped them to win a TES Independent School Award for marketing/communications campaign of the year.
Gemma has a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and supports Cavendish Education and its schools in all areas of marketing, admissions, communications, public relations and stakeholder management.

Following her graduation from the University of Gloucestershire in 2004, Jodie went straight into a full time teaching role. It was here, in her role as class teacher, that she began to develop a greater empathy for students who found learning difficult. Jodie joined Bredon School in January 2014 as a Specialist Learning Support teacher and continued to develop her skills and own learning, studying and achieving her SpLD and CPT3A qualifications whilst supported by Bredon.
Away from School, Jodie is mum to two active boys and spends lots of time on various sporting fields cheering them on! She enjoys holidaying with family and friends and loves nothing better than spending time in Pembrokeshire whether that be paddle-boarding, crab fishing or simply taking a stroll along the beautiful beaches.
Jodie is passionate about supporting all students in achieving their full potential. She prides herself in her knowledge and understanding of SEN, the impact this can have and the importance of getting an individuals' education right. Laura is an experienced teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
Laura joined Bredon School in 2018 after working as a teacher and as a scientist within the water industry.
First and foremost Laura has a passion for teaching Science and ensuring pupils fulfill their potential. As Academic Lead Laura will ensure pupils become more effective in learning across all subjects. As a parent to a past pupil Laura has seen the difference Bredon School has made to her child's life and abilities. She wishes to support every pupil to fulfill their academic potential.

Rachel is the Group People Director for Cavendish Education.
She held senior HR positions within the financial and property services industry as well as the technology, manufacturing and engineering sectors. She was the Head of the HR Services division of a business consulting firm and also held a role within Gloucestershire Constabulary's senior management team to bring a commercial approach to the delivery of the People agenda within Policing. She specialises in assisting organisations through change.
Rachel supports Cavendish Education and its schools in all aspects of staff welfare, recruitment, human resource matters and training needs.
She has a degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management, and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
