Adrian is working as an intern on the FingerReader Project. He is a second-year undergraduate student at Carleton University, Canada. He graduated in 2014 with an IB Diploma from Overseas Family School, Singapore. Adrian specialize in Computer Science, Physics and Psychology.
Alex is currently a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Auckland, looking to finish his degree at the end of 2019. During his internship at the Augmented Human Lab at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, Alex hopes to broaden his understanding of capacitive sensing and how to measure movements and expressions of the human face.
Outside of the Augmented Human Lab, Alex is involved in the UniGuide Leadership program, where he is part of the Training Committee: looking to make the training of new UniGuides more enjoyable and useful. Alex also sits on the Leadership and Service Award panel, which reviews student applications and grants the award appropriately. In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing guitar and football, as well as reading and enjoying the sun.

Andrew Reis is a software engineer and financial analyst who is currently completing a Master of Engineering at the University of Auckland. He has extensive experience working in the investment banking industry in both Asia and North America. He is also a self-taught software engineer specialising in web-based technologies and is currently working within the field of Artificial Intelligence. His research interest is interests include Affective Computing, Human-Computer Interaction and Machine Learning.
Beyond this Andrew enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hiking and e-Sports.

Andrew is an undergraduate student at the University Of Auckland studying a degree in Engineering Science. He has interests in areas of data science, data analytics and machine learning. Andrew's Part IV engineering project involves the improvement of unsupervised question-answer using state of the art BERT-like language models and synthetic data.
Aside from his technical interests, Andrew enjoys the sport of Boxing, and Basketball.
Annabelle is currently pursuing a bachelor of engineering in computer engineering, which she will finish in 2020. She is working on a summer research project with the aim to create vibrotactile illusions for surfaces. This interests her as an innovative way for humans to interact with computers.
In her free time, Annabelle enjoys playing piano and guitar, reading, and gaming.

Annis is an undergraduate student of the faculty of engineering at the University of Auckland.
Anusha Withana, graduated from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka with a BSc (Hons.) degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering in 2007. He worked as a core network engineer at Dialog Telekom PLC, Sri Lanka for one year before moving to Japan to pursuit his higher studies. He received his Master of Media Design from Keio University in 2010 and start reading for his PhD in Media Design at the same institute. His PhD thesis titled "Integration of Multimodal Interactions for Inter- Spatial Continuum", has been accepted by Keio University, Japan, and expected to be graduated in March, 2014.
His main research areas include non- inclusive and multimodal interfaces, haptic systems, affective computing and ubiquitous computing. During his post-grad studies, he has conducted research on multi modal and cross modal effects on human spatial perception, created new interfaces such as through surface styluses for interacting with 3D content, novel automotive UIs, pseudo haptic interfaces and public haptic display systems. His research has been published in peer reviewed journals and international conference proceedings, and demonstrated in international exhibitions. Furthermore, he has been collaborated and worked as a research assistant in government grant research projects in Japan, including JST ERATO, JST CREST and SCOPE.
Additional to his research work, Anusha is interested in photography, cinema and cooking. He is also a bit of a food adventurist.
Attila was working as a research engineer in the Augmented Human Lab from Apr 2015 to Mar 2018. In the AHLab, he dealt with 3d modelling and rapid prototyping, and worked on various smart healthcare/rehab tech projects as well as assistive systems for people with different abilities.
Prior to joining the AHLab at SUTD, Attila worked in R&D at the department for Robot and Assistive Systems of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation, Germany, at the Telecooperation Lab at Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, and at CIATEQ, México.
He had graduated from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, as a mechatronics engineer with a focus on robotics and bionics, and professionally is especially interested in R&D in the field of assistive systems and augmenting human senses.
Personally, Attila enjoys exploring and learning, being creative, challenging the status quo, socializing and networking, helping others, as well as a wide variety of other interactive activities and sports. You would often find him at hackathons or talks and meetups related to (healthcare) technology, entrepreneurship, and social impact, or travelling for (cultural) exploration or sports like surfing, scuba diving, or skydiving.
Beniel is an intern at Augmented Human Lab, at SUTD, Singapore. He was born in Trincomalee, Srilanka and currently an undergraduate in University of Moratuwa, Srilanka following B.Sc Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication. He hopes to be an innovator and a researcher in the filed of electronics with his interest on image processing, machine vision, electronic design and algorithm development. He is currently working on visual recognition of scale invariant deformation tolerant object detection at AH Lab. Beniel hopes to work with current and future technologies with fusion of creativity for developing adaptive solutions.
Benjamin was the first PhD student in the Augmented Human Lab at SUTD, Singapore. He received his PhD in February 2018 from SUTD. Prior to that Benjamin received his Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction and Software Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany and participated in two internship programs as a User Experience Design Intern at Synaptics Inc. (http://www.synaptics.com/) in Zug, Switzerland. Currently, Benjamin works as a UX Consultant at Netlight Consulting GmbH in Hamburg, Germany.
His research interests lie in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. He designs, develops, and implements novel interaction concepts and user interfaces in the fields of multimedia appliances and assistive technology. The focus of his current work is on assistive technologies for hearing-impaired people to enhance their music-making experience using visual and vibrotactile feedback.
Bige Tuncer is an associate professor of design computation and the associate head of pillar at the Architecture and Sustainable Design Pillar of Singapore University of Technology and Design. She received her PhD from Delft University of Technology, her MSc from Carnegie Mellon University, and her BArch from Middle East Technical University. She was an assistant professor at TU Delft, a visiting professor at the Chair of Information Architecture at ETH Zurich, and a visiting scholar at MIT. Her main research interest is evidence informed design processes.
Chitralekha joined the Augmented Human Lab in the the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a Research Fellow. Her interests include Neural Audio Synthesis, and Music Information Retrieval, specifically singing voice analysis and evaluation, and applications of speech recognition techniques in music such as lyrics alignment and transcription. Chitralekha obtained her PhD degree from NUS.
Above all, Christoffer values simplicity and excellence. Whether it is in electronics, programming or design, Christoffer has a clear vision of the products he wants to bring into this world - products that have a distinct purpose, are easy to use and performs flawlessly.
Christoffer is a software engineering student from Sweden and is currently pursuing a master's degree in interaction design. During his internship at SUTD, he is developing new ways of using inductive charging and wireless power.
Jiyu is a master's student in Information Technology at the University of Auckland. He joined to the Augmented Human Lab (AHLab) for an intern on the Real-time Emotion Detection using raw audio signals. His primary interest is using AI and big data technology to solve real problems in the world. He has experiences on machine learning engineer and full-stack software engineer, especially on marketing precision. Basketball is his favourite.
Colin is a final year student at Institute of Technical Education, Singapore, studying Game Arts and Design. During his internship in SUTD, he is a game artist, designing a game for SHRUG Project. He enjoys traveling and exploring places he has never been before. In his free time, he likes to play computer games or listen to music.
Connie is a visiting student in the group under the MIT MISTI Program. She is an undergraduate at MIT studying Mechanical Engineering.
Danielle is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The senior lecturer title is equivalent to associate professor in North American universities. Her research areas are in human computer interaction and human factors engineering, with interests in multitasking, user behavior and the design of mass-market and health technologies. She is an official academic collaborator with Yahoo/Oath.
Before starting at the University of Auckland, Danielle was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. She obtained a PhD in Human Factors Engineering from University of Toronto.

Denys J.C. Matthies is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck. He received the following academic degrees: B.A. Interface Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (09/2008-03/2012), M.Sc. Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Munich (04/2012-03/2014), and Dr.-Ing. in Computer Science at the University of Rostock (08/2014-02/2018). He underwent a two-years Postdoc at the Bioengineering Institute at the University of Auckland. During his academic career, he worked at several other research institutes, including the Telekom Innovation Laboratories in Berlin (09/2011-02/2012), the NUS HCI Lab in Singapore (10/2013-03/2014), and the Fraunhofer IGD Rostock in Germany (08/2014-09/2017). Since 2011, Denys conducts and publishes research in the domain of Human-Computer Interaction. His research interest is in augmenting humans with wearable technology also intersecting with the medical domain. He serves as a reviewer for many conferences and journals, such as: CHI, MobileHCI, UIST, UBICOMP, ISWC, TEI, INTERACT, WHC, EJBI, SIGGRAPH ASIA, MDPI, AHS, and iWOAR. Since 03/2020, Denys switched from research to a full-time teaching position.
Deviana is an educator who specializes in primary education and curriculum development. Her credentials include an MA in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University as well as a BA in (Developmental) Psychology and Criminology from the University of Melbourne. She is passionate about inclusive education and adopts a culturally responsive stance that reflects well within her work. Prior to joining the Augmented Human Lab (AHLab) of Auckland University's Bioengineering Institute, she taught in public schools across New York City. She currently assists the department through her involvement in Project Kiwrious, where she develops STEM-focused curriculum along with other student-teacher engagements. During her time off, Deviana enjoys hosting gatherings, travelling, Brazilian Jiujitsu and Dota2.
Dinithi is a PhD student at the National University of Singapore, School of Computing. She completed her bachelors in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2022. Prior to starting her PhD journey, she used to work as a Data Engineer at a leading digital IT service-providing company in Sri Lanka where she provided data science and ML solutions for telecommunication companies.
She is a good cook and loves dancing and creating dance choreographies.
Dixon joined the Augmented Human Lab in the the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a Research Fellow. His research pursuit broadly encompass areas such as Information Systems and Human-computer Interaction, with specific interests in Game-based Learning, Gamification, Design Science and Recommender Systems. Dixon obtained his doctoral from Indian Institute of Technology - Madras (IIT - M).

Elizabeth Taylor is a senior Research Fellow at the Tropical Marine Science Institute, National University of Singapore. Elliott Wen is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor equivalent) at School of Computer Science, University of Auckland. Also, he is the deputy head of the Augmented Human Lab at Auckland Bioengineering Institute at the University of Auckland. His research interests include Software Engineering, Pervasive Computing, and Mobile Sensing. Elliott obtained his PhD degree from the University of Auckland.
Fatin is a final year student at Institute Technical Education (ITE), studying Games Programming and Development.During her internship at STUD, She is currently working as a Game Programmer. She always strive to learn and explore new things around her. She loves creating games that can help to improve people's life and entertainment.
Felicia brings four years of tech industry experience following her undergraduate studies at Yale-NUS College. Passionate about the HCI and behavioral science intersection, she is committed to studying and designing human-centered interactions, particularly in the realm of lifelong learning and everyday health/wellbeing applications. Much of her past research has revolved around wearable AR.
Off the clock, she's on an endless walk, producing/ listening to music or reading something Jungian.
Fiona completed her Masters in Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship at the University Of Auckland Graduate School Of Business in 2020. An experienced creative thinker, she is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Fiona has led marketing, training, and customer experience teams in the United Arab Emirates, India, Middle East, and New Zealand. She shares her experience with AHLab to make science and technology accessible to the next generation, so they can create amazing discoveries to protect their future.
