Aaron Simpson brings a seasoned understanding of television production and digital animation development, along with a considerable presence within the online animation community. Simpson, an Emmy-nominated TV producer, was a producer on a recent animated pilot for Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions titled Gay Robot, intended for broadcast on Comedy Central. Prior to that, Simpson produced over a dozen development shorts for KidsWB! and was a key player in the development of Johnny Test for the 2005-2006 season. Prior to Warner Bros., Simpson was Senior Producer of Original Content at Sony, where he helped architect a forward-thinking entertainment portal, Screenblast. Simpson has also held the position of Vice President, Animation at JibJab Media. Additionally, Simpson is the founder and editor of ColdHardFlash.com and Lineboil.com, two popular animation blogs that consistently unearth and promote new talent and properties. Aaron currently serves as VP of Animation and Business Development at Mondo Media.

They won't let me work on the actual shows themselves. They say it's some kind of union rule or something, and the fact that they "lost" the other key to the writer's room. So they try to distract me by having me work on pretty much every other aspect of Happy Tree Friends. They say, "Hey, it's really important to have cool packaging and interfaces for the DVDs." And whenever I'm camped out by Kenn's desk with a sign that says "Free Episode Ideas Here," Christina reminds me that my imagination and 25 years of design experience (31 years if you count that class sweatshirt I did in Farmington Elementary School) are needed for clever product design and all the innovative marketing pieces.

Douglas Kay brings to bear an extensive background of over 23 years in entertainment industry development, production, and technology. In his previous role as President, Mr. Kay oversaw the company's growth into the leading creator and syndicator of original entertainment content on the web.
Prior to joining Mondo Media in 1998, Mr. Kay was Vice President of Development for Berkeley Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for online and CD-ROM development. While at Berkeley Systems, Mr. Kay supervised the creation of the Bezerk On-Line Network and its innovative use of television-like advertisements.
Previously, Mr. Kay was Chief Technical Officer of LucasArts Entertainment Company and Senior Manager for Digital Operations at George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic, where he founded the ILM Computer Graphics Department in 1985 and grew the department to more than 150 artists and production personnel by 1994. Previously, Mr. Kay was the founder and principal of Joblove/Kay, Inc., which produced computer-generated animation for television commercials and feature films broadcast all over the world.
Mr. Kay holds a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Computer Graphics from Cornell University.

John Evershed is Mondo Media's CEO and executive producer of Mondo Mini Shows, a growing library of animated shorts targeted at teens and young adults. John has spent the majority of his career overseeing the company's strategic and creative direction, along with his partner and co-founder, Deirdre O'Malley.
Since the company's inception in 1988, John's focus has been on the intersection and distribution of animated entertainment, ranging from videogames to online to television and most recently to mobile and other wireless devices.

After graduating with a BA in Industrial Design with an emphasis in Animation from San Francisco State University, Kenn worked on some independent music videos and small time animation projects at 6'2 Studios in Larkspur, California.
When Kenn joined Mondo Media in 1998, the company was expanding into a full-fledged studio that created and distributed original online content. After working on several video game projects, Kenn was given the opportunity to bring his talents to Mondo's own style of irreverent Internet shows like "The God & Devil Show," "Thugs on Film," and "Like, News." Later he partnered with Rhode Montijo to bring Happy Tree Friends to life.
