Claus Bauer joined INA Werk Schaeffler oHG in Herzogenaurach in 1998 and established and headed its tax department. He became Group Chief Accounting Officer in 1999 and implemented a worldwide group reporting system.
In 2002, Claus Bauer transferred to Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and became Chief Financial Officer for North America with responsibility for Finance, IT and Legal. In 2016, he took on the position of Chief Financial Officer Americas, responsible for Finance and IT, and integrated the North and South American organizations of the Schaeffler Group.
In September 2021, Claus Bauer assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Schaeffler Group and is responsible for Finance and IT.

Dharmesh Arora (b: 1967) is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Mumbai and holds the TRIUM Global Executive MBA degree from Stern School of Business, NYU; London School of Economics and HEC Paris.
In 2012, Dharmesh Arora joined Schaeffler as the CEO India and President Automotive business. Under his leadership, Schaeffler India has consolidated its position as a leading supplier of high-quality components and systems for industrial and automotive applications through three product brands - FAG, INA and LuK. He successfully led the merger of 3 Indian entities to form one strong Schaeffler entity in India.

From 2007 to 2012, Astrid Fontaine completed a Ph.D. in information systems at Emory University in the USA. She subsequently held a visiting professorship at the China European International Business School in Shanghai. On her return to the USA in 2013, she joined Porsche North America as Senior Vice President Human Resources and Business Innovation. Here, she established the shared service and business partner model, and the business innovation process based on human-centered design.
In 2018, Dr. Astrid Fontaine was appointed Member of the Board of Management People, Digitalization and IT at Bentley Motors in England. Following the successful turnaround of Bentley, the Volkswagen Group appointed her to the Board of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she shaped the strategy and implementation of workforce transformation toward electric mobility.
In January 2024, Dr. Astrid Fontaine joined the Board of Managing Directors of Schaeffler AG as Chief Human Resources Officer. She also holds the position of Labor Relations Director (Arbeitsdirektorin) of the Schaeffler Group.

Dr. Spindler was appointed as a member of the executive board of MAN Diesel in 2002, where he led the company's Power Plants and Marine Medium Speed business units with responsibility for sales, engineering, and project management. Following the merger of MAN Diesel and MAN Turbo, he held cross-divisional responsibility for technology and quality in his role as Chief Technology Officer on the executive board of the newly-formed MAN Diesel & Turbo.
Dr. Spindler was appointed as a member of the executive board of Bosch Rexroth AG in mid-2010. As part of comprehensive responsibility for sales and profit in the company's new and after-sales business, he first led the Renewable Energies business unit with a focus on wind power applications and, from 2012 onwards, also led the Mobile Applications business unit, which included vehicle drive and control system products.
