ST. MARY'S PRIMARY SCHOOL

The current building of St. Mary's Primary School was opened to pupils on 3rd June 2011. It serves central Hamilton, part of Silvertonhill, Chantinghall, Laighstonehall and Ferniegair. It is situated in the same quiet, peaceful location as the previous building which opened in 1957. The history of the school goes back to 1853 when the original school was opened in a room beneath the sanctuary of St. Mary's Church. A new St. Mary's building was opened in 1873 in Muir Street, Hamilton which in 1957 became Holy Cross Senior Secondary School... Welcome to St. Mary's Primary School website.
