Adip comes with 12+ years of multi-sector experience across Government Relations, Policy Advocacy, Stakeholder Engagement and Corporate Communications having worked in corporate, consulting as well as government settings. In his last role, Adip worked with APCO Worldwide - a global public affairs firm with a 7+ years tenure consulting fortune 500 companies, Not-for-profits, associations among others. Prior to joining APCO, Adip served in corporate affairs roles with respected multinationals like Alstom and Ingersoll Rand. He started his career with MSL Group and executed projects for Deloitte and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. Alex Gu is Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic Greater China. Based in Shanghai, he is a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee.
Until January 2018, Alex Gu was Vice President, Regional Growth Initiatives, Greater China, leading the business development, medical and clinical affairs, emerging markets/private hospitals, and R&D functions in the region. He was also the Greater China leader for Medtronic's Minimally Invasive Therapies Group (MITG).
Alex is a native of China. Alex holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. He is a Fellow of Aspen China Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Currently, Alicia manages cross-functional work of APACMed in China, including government affairs and market access, regulatory issues, digital health pathways, and China's MedTech collaboration with the broader region.
Prior to joining APACMed, Alicia worked as the Chief Liaison Officer and senior international manager at CCCMHPIE for over 10 years, to drive bilateral and multilateral cooperation programs with a number of health-related government and non-government bodies in China.
She has extensive experience in driving projects under the governmental framework, public relations, policy analysis, advocacy programs, seminars, and events. She has been a key facilitator of multiple government-led bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the China-UK healthcare working group, China-CEEC Alliance for Public Health, China-ASEAN Healthcare Products Expo, etc. She was leading a number of global health projects, including WHO pre-qualification Studies on China's MedTech industry.
An EU-certified conference interpreter, Alicia received her master's degree in applied linguistics from the University of International Business and Economics. She has also completed her second master's degree in Public Health from the Vanke School of Public Health at Tsinghua University.

Anirudh is currently the Director, Digital Health - Asia Pacific, where he is responsible for leading APACMed's priorities in the digital health space, supporting APACMed members across the entire digital health product journey and driving initiatives that help progress the long-term vision of the Digital Health Committee which is to improve patient health by enabling equitable and economically sustained use of digital health technologies.
With 10 years of experience in research and policy advocacy working in ASSOCHAM and FICCI, India's National Apex Chambers and other organisations, Ankit possesses strong stakeholder management skills and brings with him strong networks among key government departments, trade associations and industry in India.
Prior to joining APACMed, he was with E&Y LLP, as part of its Strategy and Transactions team and was involved in program strategy, business process re-engineering, capacity building and facilitating policy dialogues within the government advisory space.

Art Butcher is Executive Vice President and President for Boston Scientific in the Asia Pacific region, a role he has held since February 2020. Currently based in Singapore, Art is responsible for the overseeing the continued growth of our business across Asia Pacific in line with our company values. Art has been with Boston Scientific for over 20 years. Prior to his current role, Art was President, Endoscopy with global responsibility for developing and bringing to market less invasive devices for treating gastrointestinal and pulmonary conditions. He was previously Vice President and General Manager, Endoscopy in Japan.
Art has held a variety of marketing and strategic planning management positions within the Endoscopy, Urology and Pelvic Health businesses, including Vice President of Global Marketing (Endoscopy) and Vice President of New Business Development and Strategic Planning (Urology and Women's Health). Benish joined APACMed in 2021 to support the Digital Health committee. Since October 2021, she has been working in the Government Affairs & Market Access committee to help build long term relationships with government stakeholders and promote smoother, more well-defined market access pathways.
Benish has close to a decade of prior experience in developing evidence based tailored therapeutic protocols for patient centric care in a multidisciplinary team at a tertiary hospital in India. Apart from that, while teaching as an Assistant Professor at a university, she also explored various innovative research projects which led her to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy. In Singapore, Benish completed an MBA in strategy & digital leadership from ESSEC Business School.
Benish is involved in various volunteering activities in Singapore and enjoys exploring new places and spending time with her family and friends.

Chris Lee is President of Medtronic, Asia Pacific and serves as a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee. He oversees the Medtronic APAC region where the company has presence in more than 20 countries with about 10,000 employees across the region. Chris joined Medtronic in 2012 as President of the Greater China region and was named as President of APAC in December of 2017. Under his leadership, the Greater China region achieved five consecutive years of double-digit growth by bringing meaningful innovation and expanding access to more patients locally.
Chris has a strong track record of global leadership in the healthcare industry - both in pharmaceutical and medical technology. He is known for his inclusive leadership style, commitment to meritocracy, and proven business success. During his time in China, Chris developed strategic partnerships with the Chinese government and was a strong supporter of corporate social responsibility - leading the company's effective relief efforts to respond to the Lushan earthquake in Sichuan Province.
Prior to Medtronic, Chris was Regional Head and Senior Vice President, APAC at Bayer HealthCare where he was responsible for overall operations in the region, including pharmaceuticals, consumer over-the-counter, animal health, and medical devices. Chris has also held roles of increasing responsibility in several multinational companies, including Bristol Myers Squibb and Merck Sharpe and Dohme, while based in APAC and the U.S., respectively.
Chris is a pioneer in the management of workplace happiness and is the author of two bestselling books, one on emotional management and one on marketing. He was also formerly an executive director in the pharmaceutical industry associations of China (RDPAC), Australia (Medicines Australia), and Korea (Korea Pharma).
Chris serves on the board of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).
Chris holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson and a master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). He is fluent in English and Korean, with a good understanding of Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.

Christine joined APACMed in May 2021 to lead Country Activation for the Asia-Pacific region. She supports the association's members to promote advocacy for optimal policy and to strengthen knowledge and competency among industry stakeholders to shape the future of healthcare in the Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining APACMed, Christine has driven various consumer businesses and portfolios across multi-national FMCG and consumer durables companies. As the marketing lead for her line of businesses, she has had many regional product and campaign launches under her belt.

Before her time at APACMed, Cindy's career unfolded in France, where she practised as a pharmacist. Her days revolved around ensuring patients received the medications they needed and providing essential guidance. This hands-on experience allowed her to collaborate seamlessly with fellow healthcare professionals, gaining valuable insights into pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and therapeutic approaches that enhance patients' lives.
Cindy holds a Pharm D from the renowned French University François Rabelais, which laid the foundation for her deep understanding of pharmaceutical sciences. Gabriel is a strategic relationship builder and connector, with nearly three decades' experience in scaling businesses, including start-ups, commercial companies and non-profit organisations. Prior to embarking on his healthcare journey a decade ago (MedTech, Digital Health, Healthcare IT), Gabriel held several leadership positions in the field of market research and business intelligence.
Gabriel is currently Director, Strategic Partnerships at the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed). He is instrumental in building APACMed membership, driving MedTech Forum programmes and sponsorship, and developing initiatives to foster collaboration between corporates and start-ups.
Gabriel is passionate about engaging the various players in the MedTech ecosystem (corporate, startups, VCs, healthcare providers, industry associations, etc) to bring innovations and technologies to market and enjoys facilitating industry development initiatives and implementations.
Gabriel also serves as a member of the Executive Committee for Health Level Seven (HL7) Singapore; is a member of the Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) and Asia Pacific Assistive Robotics Association. Glenda joins APACMed in September 2021 as Manager, Government Affairs and Market Access Committee. Bringing a public policy perspective to strategic market access topics, Glenda seeks to improve access to care, translate value-based outcomes for reimbursement, and facilitate efficient adoption of innovative medical technologies for patients and populations across the region.
In her career to date, Glenda has worked at the nexus of government, hospitals and research. As a senior policy analyst in Singapore's health ministry, Glenda participated in developing health and social service reimbursement policy for the intermediate and long-term care sector, as well as led ground hospital operations including implementation of value-based outcomes programme in a tertiary hospital. Most recently, Glenda worked as a Research Associate in a multidisciplinary research team comprising clinicians and research scientists to develop a design-assist device solution for edentulous patients, with the goals of reducing patient wait time and unlocking cost savings through mass customisation.
Glenda holds a masters' degree from the University of Chicago in social sciences with a concentration in International Political Economy, and an undergraduate degree from LSE in Government and Economics.
Harjit was appointed CEO of APACMed in February 2019. Founded in 2014, the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association is the only regional association to provide a unified voice for the medical technology industry in Asia Pacific.
She was formerly EVP and CEO of Philips ASEAN & Pacific until October 2015. In this role, she managed a team of 10,000 people in 10 countries across its Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle sectors. Harjit spent over two decades with Philips holding a variety of international roles in General Management in England, Holland, Singapore, Dubai and Hong Kong.

James Lim, Executive Vice President and President, Greater Asia for Becton Dickinson (BD), sits on BD's Global Leadership Management Committee reporting to the CEO. James joined BD in 1994 from Seagate International. Starting as an Engineering and Facility Manager for BD Medical (Singapore), after a 3-year assignment in R&D, he became a Plant Manager in 2000. In 2003, he was promoted to the role of the Director of Operations for Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the regional manufacturing and supply chain functions, overseeing plants operating in Singapore, Bawal, India, and Suzhou, China.
In April 2008, James was appointed as the Vice President for Central and Asia Pacific, holding responsibility for the Central Asia Business Management and support functions for the entire Asia Pacific region.
Four years later, James was appointed as President of Greater Asia and an Executive Member of the company, becoming the first Asian leader to take office in the region's 30-year history.
A strong believer in developing and retaining the best of talents, James was conferred the Leading CEO award by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) in 2014. Lam Chee Hong is the President and a Member of the Management Board of B. Braun Asia Pacific. As President, he is responsible for the Group's pharmaceutical and medical technology business across the region.
Chee Hong begin his career with B. Braun in 1986 as a medical sales representative. Marc commenced his career with Olympus in 2004 in Sydney Australia where he served as the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand in the Consumer Imaging business. In 2013, Marc moved to Singapore, to take on the role as Division Director of the Consumer Imaging Business for Olympus Corporation of Asia Pacific. Nishan joined APACMed in February 2019. He manages and oversees all financial, administrative, IT and operations for the Association.
Nishan has more than 15 years of administrative and finance experience, with roles spanned across managing financial planning, human resource, building facilities and operations, policy and procedures formulation and other administrative tasks.
Prior to joining APACMed, Nishan was with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore since 2005. Nishan was posted as the Administrative and Consular Secretary at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia and Doha, Qatar from 2008 to 2018. His main duties were managing and maintaining the administrative "heartbeat" of the Ministry and Embassy. These roles and responsibilities, involving a wide range of administrative, policy and consular functions, were performed in tandem with the Singapore Government Instruction Manuals, stipulated by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Singapore.
Nishan holds an MBA from the University of Hertfordshire (UK), as well as a Technical Diploma in Computer Studies from Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Singapore). Nishan also holds a PRINCE2® Foundation Certification in Project Management.
Noelle joined APACMed as Communications Manager in November 2023 where she provides strategic counsel for communications. She brings experience in healthcare and various industries working effectively with multinational teams to achieve marketing communications goals that are both "on-brand" and locally impactful. Tim Schmid is the Company Group Chairman, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, Asia Pacific where he leads the company's efforts to bring market leading surgical, orthopedic and interventional solutions to patients in need across Asia.
Tim has been with Johnson & Johnson for over 25 years and has held diverse leadership positions in sales, strategic marketing and general management across multiple businesses and geographies. Most recently, he served as Chief Strategic Customer Officer, where he led a transformation of Johnson & Johnson's business-to-business relationships with hospital systems in the US. Prior to this he was President of Johnson & Johnson's surgery business, Ethicon, where led a major turnaround in the US. This included the integration of five standalone businesses and the implementation of a new go-to-market model to address the rapidly changing needs of both clinicians and health care administrators.
Tim is a global executive who, in addition to leading business transformations across multiple continents, builds strong teams that have a track record of customer orientated solutions, growth and leadership across the medical technology industry. He is a champion for the value of diversity, currently leading the company's diversity and inclusion efforts across Asia Pacific. Before joining APACMed, Zoey accumulated valued experience in translation, interpreting, and program operation as an intern in ByteDance and she also had considerable bi-lingual translation and event promotion practice back to university times.
She is now committed to assisting advocacy programs and events, maintaining membership, and promoting exchanges between the government and the industry.
Zoey holds a master's degree in translation and interpreting from Beijing Language and Culture University.
Kamalesh joined APACMed in January 2024. He helps out in all financial, administrative, IT and operations for the Association. Before joining APACMed, he has been in a few roles in the Public & Healthcare Sector, performing diverse roles in both the HR and Finance spectrum, gaining a few experiences in them. Kamalesh graduated from Singapore Institute of Management with a bachelor's in business & management.
