Alan Kenny

Alan Kenny is Head of Corporate Trustee & Client Solutions at Ironbark and has over 25 years' experience in financial services across funds management, product development, and business management. In his role, Alan is responsible for Ironbark's Corporate Trustee & Client Solutions business unit, overseeing the responsible entity and trustee services, product solutions, fund operations, and investment governance functions. Prior to joining Ironbark in 2018, Alan was Chief Executive Officer at Federation Alliance, a managed account platform distribution business which operated as a joint venture with Australian Unity. Alan has also held roles such as General Manager, Product & Investment Services at Colonial First State and Head of Product & Pricing at AMP. Alan has a BA Hons degree in Business Studies from Dublin Business School.

Alex Donald

Alex Donald is Head of Funds Management at Ironbark and has over 25 years' of experience in the financial services industry in both Australia and the UK. Alex is responsible for Ironbark's Funds Management business. He manages the development and execution of the Funds Management strategy, and is responsible for overseeing manager selection, product development, and the distribution of Ironbark's capabilities into the wholesale and institutional markets. Before joining Ironbark in 2009, Alex was Head of Investment Sales for Colonial First State where he was responsible for the distribution of Colonial's investment products in the Australian market. Alex has a BA Hons degree in Politics and French from the University of Wales, Swansea.

Andrew Bannerman

Andrew Bannerman is a Relationship Manager at Ironbark Asset Management and has extensive experience in financial services across asset management, platform, business development and financial planning. Andrew joined Ironbark in 2022 and is responsible for on-boarding and overseeing new and existing corporate trustee clients with a particular focus on the multi-asset managed account solutions Ironbark build for advice businesses. Prior to joining Ironbark, Andrew was Strategic Account Manager at MLC Asset Management. Andrew has also held roles such as State Manager distribution, Business Development Manager at MLC and Paraplanning Manager at National Mutual. Andrew has a Diploma of Financial Planning

Brendan Carpenter - COO, Founder

Brendan Carpenter is Chief Operating Officer (COO), Deputy CEO, and Co-Founder of Ironbark Asset Management. Brendan has more than 25 years' experience in the financial services industry across a variety of roles in asset management, both in Australia and internationally. As COO, Brendan is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Ironbark licence, fund operations, investment governance, product and business support functions. In addition, Brendan is a member of the various Ironbark Boards and committees, a member of the Ironbark Trustee Compliance Committee and sits on several external Investment company boards. Prior to co-founding Ironbark Asset Management in 2009, Brendan held roles such as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Deutsche Asset Management, Australia and Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management, Australia. Brendan also held various roles with Deutsche Asset Management in Europe and the US before relocating to Australia in 2005.

Brionny Allen

Brionny Allen is the National Sales Manager at Ironbark and has over 20 years' of experience in the financial services industry. In her role, Brionny manages the advice research, key accounts, and sales functions into the advice industry. She is responsible for managing Ironbark's wholesale distribution strategy and works with the largest national accounts to identify and help deliver investment solutions that best meet their needs. Prior to joining Ironbark in 2009, Brionny held various roles within the industry, including at Deutsche Asset Management and Count Financial. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and has Bachelor Degrees in both Economics and Applied Finance.

Carmel Rose

Carmel Rose is a Relationship Manager in the Corporate Trustee & Client Solutions team at Ironbark Asset Management and has over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry. Carmel joined Ironbark in 2019 and is responsible for the onboarding and structuring of new and existing managed funds, and the ongoing oversight of Ironbark's Corporate Trustee clients. Prior to joining Ironbark, Carmel held various relationship roles within the financial services industry, including seven years in the Corporate Trustee RE/trustee team at Equity Trustees Limited. Carmel has also worked at Perpetual Investments, Investec and Perpetual Corporate Trust.

Chris Larsen - CEO, Founder

Chris Larsen is CEO and Co-Founder of Ironbark Asset Management. Chris has more than two decades' experience across all fields of asset management, spanning retail and institutional distribution, marketing, product, platform, investment research and manager selection. He is also experienced in Trustee, Advice, and Private Markets. Before co-founding Ironbark Asset Management in 2009, Chris was the Head of Deutsche Bank's Asset Management business in Australia. He has also held senior positions in the industry at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Rothschild Asset Management. Chris currently serves as a Board member for the GWS Giants Football Club and is a member of GWS Giants Foundation Board.

Chris Wrightson

Chris Wrightson is Head of Wealth Management at Ironbark Asset Management as well as a director on a number of advice business boards. Chris has more than 30 years' experience in the financial services industry and has an in depth understanding of adviser to client engagement models, business models and growth drivers for advisory businesses. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In his role at Ironbark, Chris is responsible for strategic growth, M&A and governance of the Ironbark Wealth Management business unit. Prior to joining Ironbark in 2017, Chris held various management roles in major financial institutions including MLC, Ipac and AXA where he headed the team responsible for the acquisition and ongoing management of financial planning businesses.

Elaine Brogan

Elaine Brogan is the Senior Manager, Investment Governance at Ironbark Asset Management. Elaine is an experienced investment specialist with over 20 years' experience in asset management. In her role at Ironbark Asset Management, Elaine is responsible for managing the Investment Governance team responsible for delivery and oversight of multi-asset fund and managed accounts investment solutions as well as the management of the investment implementation functions. Prior to joining Ironbark Elaine was at BT Financial Group where she spent the past 15 years, most recently as their Senior Manager, Investment Governance supporting the investment and managed accounts business within BT Investment Solutions. Elaine has a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology from Dublin City University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments from FINSIA.

Elizabeth Cameron - Chief Legal Officer

Elizabeth Cameron is Head of Legal at Ironbark Asset Management and has over 9 years' experience working within and providing legal services to the financial services industry. In her role, Elizabeth is responsible for managing and overseeing the legal strategy and function for the Ironbark Group. Elizabeth provides in-house counsel and legal oversight and works closely with external legal counsel to support and realise the interests and objectives of the Ironbark Group. Prior to joining Ironbark, Elizabeth worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Yarra Capital Management Limited and Nikko AM Australia, a division of the Nikko Asset Management Group. Prior to these in-house roles, Elizabeth also worked at Herbert Smith Freehills as a solicitor in the Sydney Equity Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions Corporate Teams. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.

Hugo Donald

Lee Comper is the Institutional & Consultant Relationship Manager at Ironbark and has over 20 years' experience in the financial services sector. In his role, Lee is responsible for managing Ironbark's relationships with institutional, asset consultant, and private wealth clients. Prior to joining Ironbark in 2015, Lee was at Certitude Global Investments where he was responsible for institutional, asset consultant, research house and dealer group relationships. He also held a position at Standard&Poors within the Fund Ratings department. Lee holds a Bachelor of Business, Economics and Finance from RMIT University.

Mike Bigwood - CFO

Mike Bigwood is Head of Finance & Business Management at Ironbark, a role which he has held since 2013. With over 25 years' experience in the Financial Services industry, Mike is responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of Ironbark. Prior to joining Ironbark, Mike was a Private Client Investment Adviser at Patersons Securities, analysing and advising clients on investment opportunities. Prior to this, Mike worked for Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Asset Management as a Business Area Controller in London and Sydney. Mike is a qualified CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting from Charles Sturt University. Mike has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investments (FINSIA) and is accredited with FINSIA for Derivatives Adviser Levels I & II.

Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy is an Institutional Sales Manager at Ironbark and has had a 38-year career in the financial services industry with over 28 years' experience in funds management. In 2010, Peter joined institutional funds management firm, Ambassador Funds Management Services, and as a Director he was responsible for institutional client relations and business development. Upon Ironbark acquiring Ambassador in 2019, Peter brought his wealth of experience and institutional relationships to the Ironbark sales team and continues to service the institutional market across Australia. Prior to joining Ambassador, Peter held various senior positions in institutional funds management, most recently as Director, Institutional Relationships at AllianceBernstein where he was responsible for business development and client management, principally within the Industry Fund and Public Sector markets. He has also worked in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance at Citicorp Investment Bank. Peter holds an LLB, BCom, Grad Dip App Fin and has completed a Master of Business Administration at the Melbourne Business School.

Rene Daquino

Prior to this, Scott worked for PwC as a Risk and Assurance director in Australia and Sweden. Scott is a qualified CA and holds Bachelor's Degrees in Accounting and Economics from The University of Queensland. Scott is also a Mental Fitness coach and member of Positive Intelligence, and a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA UK).

Tess Brennan
