NORTHEAST CORRIDOR COMMISSION

Congress established the Northeast Corridor Commission in the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act of 2008. The Northeast Corridor Commission's mission is to bring the states, commuter agencies, Amtrak, and U.S. Department of Transportation together to modernize and improve the Northeast Corridor rail system through increased collaboration, transparency, and accountability. Through this partnership, the Commission's members can achieve more together than by working alone... The Northeast Corridor Commission convenes the NEC's key stakeholders in state government, the federal government, and Amtrak.
