Alison is a family law specialist who has been helping clients resolve the financial and parenting issues that arise upon divorce or separation since starting at Bird & CO in 2001. Her clients frequently require advice on complex financial and property matters including how divorce might impact pensions.
A member of Resolution, Alison is based predominately at our Grantham office, but is available to meet clients at our Newark office too. Alison attends a fortnightly Family Law Surgery at the Citizen's Advice Bureau to meet new clients.
Alison is married with two stepsons and in her spare time she is known amongst her colleagues for her love of darts, fly-fishing and amateur sewing efforts.

Chris became a partner at the Firm in 1996 and became Senior Partner in April, 2001. He oversaw the Firm's expansion and it's subsequent conversion to LLP status.
Chris' work is supervised by the Head of Department, Damian Sabino.
As well as his work within the Criminal Department Chris is also the firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Complaints Partner.
Chris is counsel for Timothy Louth who is charged as part of a wide ranging nationwide conspiracy to supply class A drugs throughout the Country over a two year period. Operation Atlanta is being investigated by officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) and is being prosecuted by the East Midlands Complex Casework Unit (CCU). Chris's Client was sentenced to 7 years imprisonmnet for conspiracy to supply class A drugs and 2 years imprisonment for conspiracy to supply class B drugs. A total of 9 years. The sentence is currently under appeal.

Dale has been working for Bird and Co since July 2014 after gaining a Law Degree from the University of Lincoln.
Dale has been handling his own matters within the team at our Lincoln office since 2018. He handles all types of residential property transactions progressing them in a timely and efficient manner.
In his spare time enjoys socialising with friends alongside playing and watching football.
Dale's work is supervised by the Head of Conveyancing, Daniel Chard.

Damian joined the expanding Criminal team at Bird & Co in November 2019. He is a Partner and the Head of the Criminal Department.
Damian has been employed within the legal field since leaving school at the age of 16, punctuated with a career break between 1990 and 1993 to pursue other challenges including sales, marketing and acting.
Damian is not only an accredited police station representative but also commands duty solicitor status and holds his Higher Rights accreditation, enabling him to appear in the Crown Court.
Not only does he have extensive expertise in Criminal Defence work, but his secondment to the Falkland Islands, afforded him vast experience in crime and regulatory crime relating to the Fisheries Act and Agriculture Act.
Damian's role within the Firm will be to generate new work locally through his role as a duty solicitor in the Magistrates Courts and Police Stations whilst assisting in the daily preparation of the Criminal Teams' expanding volume of high profile and paper heavy cases generated through its national website www.conspiracysolicitor.co.uk
Having graduated from the Liverpool John Moores University with a law degree, Damian has worked within the field with one of only two firms based on the Falkland Islands, and more latterly with Firms in Liverpool and Middlesbrough.
Damian's work is supervised by our Senior Partner, Christopher Milligan.

Daniel is a Partner of the firm who heads our property team. He has 20 years experience in all types of property transaction including:
Dealing with all types of residential sales and purchases for both freehold and leasehold properties.
Transfers of properties and remortgages.
Lease Extensions.
Sale and Purchase of commercial land and buildings.
Property development (both residential and commercial).
Overage/Clawback agreements.
Option agreements.
Leases of Commercial property.
Sale and purchase of businesses.
Sale and purchase of agricultural land.
As well as his work within the Property Department, Daniel is also the firm's Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) and is the firm's Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for the Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

David is a Senior Associate Solicitor and heads the personal injury and dispute resolution department at the firm. He has extensive experience in dealing with all types of personal injury claims and civil litigation including claims that go to Court. This includes matters from road traffic accidents to serious and severe workplace injuries.
David currently considers all personal injury enquiries however he has a special interest in serious and catastrophic injuries occurring in the workplace.
In addition to workplace claims he deals with the following:
road traffic accidents (especially motorcycle and bicycle claims);
medical negligence claims;
slip, trips and falls in public and private;
injuries while on holiday;
prison incidents;
fatal injuries;
uninsured and untraceable driver applications through the Motor Insurers Bureau;
Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority applications and all other criminal injuries.
He regularly carries out home visits and is happy to give a free initial consultation. He is able to see clients at all of our offices.
David also increasingly advises on civil litigation matters. This includes advocacy, landlord and tenant, dispute resolution, acting for local companies, businesses and general civil law advice.
He grew up in Lincolnshire and is very passionate about the county. He has previously been a town councillor. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his daughter, running and watching motorsport.

Emily joined the team in 2021 and has been working within the legal sector since 2014. Emily started her career in law initially in litigation.
Emily handles all types of residential property transactions to include leasehold, freehold, re-mortgage, transfer of equity and equity release. She works in our Grantham office.
Emily ensures transactions are dealt with timely and efficiently and prides herself on her ability to provide fantastic client care.

Emma joined Bird and Co in May 2011 as a Conveyancing Executive. Emma had her own database of clients with many often returning to work closely with her. Since joining the firm Emma has moved to part time hours to enable her to look after her young family.
Emma returned to work after maternity leave in early 2016 where she now works as a dedicated member of Rebecca Tasker's Team assisting her in handling a range of activities including preparation of documents and reports for clients.
Emma is located within our Newark Office and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter.
Emma is supervised by Rebecca Tasker, the Deputy Head of Conveyancing.

Estelle joined Bird & Co. Solicitors in 1995 - the year in which she qualified as a solicitor. She undertakes family law casework - specialising in child law, especially care proceedings where Social Services are involved.
She is also the Firm's nominated "Training Principal" and as such has overall responsibility for providing supervised experience in legal practice to those offered a training contract by the Firm.
Estelle is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and a member too of "Resolution", an organisation of lawyers and family justice professionals who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters.
Local/regional community commitments include membership of the St John's Ambulance Committee for the Child Contact Centres in Grantham, Spalding and Skegness. She has also, since January 2005, been a member of the Governing Body of a local secondary school - the Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School and since 2021 has been Chair of the Governing Body.

Hannah is a conveyancer in our Newark office. She is the main point of contact for many clients and handles all types of residential conveyancing including:

Transfers and remortgages of residential properties.
