Barry Pugatch Field

A member of the MIT Video Productions team for over thirty-five years, Barry Pugatch has extensive experience in videography, audio production, web conferencing and is a familiar face around the MIT Campus. In fact, a favorite aspect of his job is to engage with the MIT community. Barry is not afraid to tackle any technical challenge and strives to continuously improve the experience of MVP partners and clients. Barry enjoys performing live music with his band, back in the 1980s they were even featured on M-TV!

Clayton Hainsworth

Job Titles:

Clayton Hainsworth is the Director of MIT Video Productions. He joined the MVP team in 2001 as a freelance video technician and has worked in just about every role at MVP. In 2012 he took an opportunity to join edX, MIT and Harvard's Massive Open Online Courses project where he built a media team that supported over 120 partners throughout the world. He re-joined MVP in 2018 as the Associate Director and was promoted to MVP's Director role in 2019. He first came to Boston to attend Emerson College graduating with a degree in communications with a focus in audio engineering. He has a passion for building great teams, telling stories through video, and music.

Dawn Morton

Born and raised in the wilds of suburban New Jersey, Dawn found her passion in capturing moments of time in any form of media they could invent. Succumbing to the right brain/left brain tug of war, she used her powers of organization to partner with the smartest and most creative media companies to bring storytelling, messaging and content to all screens. Dawn has 30 years of industry experience in film and video production, animation, website and software development, and book publishing for companies in industries and markets from education and non-profit to corporate and television networks. Dawn joined MVP in 2016, and as Client Services Manager she focuses on understanding and meeting client needs. This constant involvement in media and the opportunity to talk to people all day keeps her happy, as does her love of Instagram and vintage goods.

Jean Dunoyer

Jean Dunoyer is an Emmy-award winning producer and editor with over 30 years of experience creating documentaries. Originally from France, Jean graduated with a degree in Ocean Engineering from MIT in 1987. His eclectic experiences and curiosity for exploration and adventure fuels his passion for filmmaking and the art of storytelling. He is an avid kiteboarder, snow kiter, and bicycle commuter.

Joe McMaster

  • Senior Producer
Joe McMaster, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and science journalist, is the Senior Producer at MIT Video Productions. Prior to joining MVP and making videos about all things MIT, he worked for more than two decades as a television producer, director, writer, series producer, and executive producer - much of that time on staff at the PBS science series Nova. He has also written, produced and directed programs for NOVA's magazine show ScienceNOW and worked for National Geographic, the PBS series American Experience and Frontline among others. His work has been recognized with many of the industry's highest honors including Peabody, Writers Guild of America, and AAAS Science Journalism Awards, national Emmy nominations and a New England Emmy for a documentary he produced at MIT. He was an MIT Knight Science Journalism Fellow (2005-2006) and the author of a recent book about Boston's infamous Charles Street Jail.

Kevin Tierney

Kevin Tierney has been managing streaming services at MIT since 2012. His focus has been live and interactive streaming. Prior to joining the Institute, Kevin spent 10 years in the broadcast industry in roles as producer/director and editor/videographer.

Rod Lindheim

Rod is a video professional with over 25 years of broadcast and online educational experience. He worked in broadcast radio and television before setting his focus on educational video. Rod started in the online education field in 1999 recording classes for Harvard University and helped develop the classrooms into live, interactive educational experiences. He earned his CTS certification through AVIXA. Rod joined MVP in the fall of 2019. He manages the video production department and continues to run and coach basketball in his spare time.

Thomas (TJ) Saccoccio

As part of the Post-Production team, TJ is editing and delivering video content and supporting the scheduling and booking of events for MIT Video services. TJ is a graduate of Fitchburg State University (2022) with a bachelors in Film and TV Production. Upon graduation, he entered the workforce as an assistant editor on various forms of media including YouTube videos, short-form web series, and TV shows. In his spare time, you can find him watching movies, following motorsports such as IMSA or IndyCar, or volunteering on a steam railroad in Maine.

Thomas P White

For well over 25 years, Tom White has lent his skills in camera and audio production, lighting, and technical directing to MIT Video Productions. Tom played an integral part in MVP's Emmy award-winning productions and has recorded over a hundred interviews for MIT's Infinite History Project. Aside from his proven track record in video production, Tom's accomplishments also include being an Independent Producer/Director, featured actor on a top-rated PBS-TV series, and as a musician performed on a bill with Sting, GG Allin and Captain Kangaroo.
