Eileen M. Rice

Eileen is a member of Klein, Hockel, Iezza & Patel, P.C.'s civil litigation practice representing corporations, small businesses, retail and compounding pharmacies in the areas of employment, general commercial matters and pharmacy law. Eileen enjoys working closely with employers to develop policies and procedures that are legally compliant and support their business objectives. Eileen has been working for the firm since 2003, and has advised and represented management in labor and employment matters before California State courts, Federal Courts, arbitrators, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Eileen has extensive experience representing pharmacies and pharmacists in defense of matters before the California Board of Pharmacy and Office of Administrative Hearings. Eileen is a member of the California State Bar, and the California Lawyers Association Environmental Law Section. Eileen is a two-time Boston Marathon qualifier and finisher, Ironman finisher, and certified yoga Instructor

Jonathan Allan Klein

Jonathan is a partner of Klein, Hockel, Iezza & Patel, P.C. ("KHIP") He offers extensive jury trial and arbitration experience to our clients, especially in the areas of labor & employment, pharmacy and commercial litigation. Jonathan also counsels employers and employees with various compliance issues, including meal & rest break policies, non-competes, compliance with interactive process, and reasonable accommodations in the workplace. His practice currently focuses on labor and employment litigation including wage and hour and ADA class action litigation, and he provides a substantial amount of advice and counsel work for employers. Jonathan has particular expertise in representation of health care providers, pharmacists and pharmacies, including Accusations filed by or discipline sough by various regulatory boards, including the California Board of Pharmacy, as well as in litigation involving alleged malpractice or violations of pharmacists' duties of care. Jonathan has been extensively involved in disputes with Pharmacy Benefit Managers ("PBMs") and is one of California's few pharmacy law experts. Jonathan often represents employers seeking return of funds stolen or embezzled. Jonathan has successfully returned several million dollars in ill-gotten gains to his clients.

Nicole is an Associate at Klein, Hockel, Iezza & Patel, P.C. ("KHIP"). Nicole is a member of the firm's civil litigation and arbitration practices, with her focus being on labor and employment. She has significant experience representing clients in discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation, civil rights, breach of contract, and wage and hour matters. Nicole represents employers before state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other state administrative agencies across the country. Thomas K. Hockel

Thomas K. Hockel is a partner with Klein, Hockel, Iezza & Patel, P.C. ("KHIP"), and has been with the firm since 1999. He is an employment counselor and an experienced trial attorney. Tom handles all phases of litigation in cases before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including trial and appeals. He has successfully handled or tried numerous cases involving a variety of claims, including, but not limited to: wrongful termination; sex, disability, age and race discrimination; harassment; wage and hour claims; labor code retaliation claims; labor code claims for failure to pay wages; trade secret claims; and covenants not to compete. Tom is a member of the California State Bar, and the San Francisco Bar Association. He is a past president of St. Thomas More Society of San Francisco, is a Marriage Preparation Leader for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland, a volunteer for the Pope Francis Pro Bono Legal Clinic with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland, and a former coach and manager of Walnut Creek's Little League.
