Abigail Stuart

Abigail is a solicitor in the Crown Specialist Group having joined MC as a law clerk in February 2022. Abigail assists in prosecuting criminal proceedings and drafting submissions in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Prior to joining MC, Abigail studied at Victoria University of Wellington and interned at both MC and a large commercial law firm based in Wellington, working in their employment and public law teams.

Adine Wilson

A former Silver Ferns netball player, Adine brings a unique perspective as a former athlete to MC's sports law practice. Adine has a deep knowledge of athlete rights and welfare, drawing from her personal experiences in the sporting world and her involvement with the New Zealand Netball Players Association. Adine's legal experience is in the governance and commercial space. Adine has held various governance roles and was recently appointed appointed to the four-member Establishment Board that is overseeing the creation of the Integrity Sport and Recreation Commission

Alec Dawson

Alec is a senior solicitor in the Resource Management team in Auckland. He provides resource management advice and assists with regulatory prosecutions. Alec also works for the Crown in criminal proceedings.

Alysha Mcclintock

In addition to criminal prosecution, Alysha is a specialist in fair trading, consumer credit and health and safety litigation, including precedent-setting litigation before the Court of Appeal. As Crown Solicitor, Alysha oversees the prosecution of serious crime in the Auckland region, and personally prosecutes cases of all types.

Amelia Mateni

Amelia Mateni (Lapaha, Tongatapu) has experience working in MC's Crown Specialist team as well as its Regulatory team. Prior to joining MC, she worked as an intern in Policy and Partnerships with the New Zealand Police. Amelia is a pivotal part of MC's engagement with Pacific communities in schools and universities.

Anaru Tapsell

Anaru joined Meredith Connell in 2019 as a summer intern before graduating from Victoria University of Wellington in 2020. In his time as an intern he assisted with civil litigation matters. Anaru is now a practising solicitor in the Commercial Litigation team and has drafted submissions and appeared regularly in the District Court in criminal prosecution.

Andy Luck

Andy is an effective courtroom advocate with experience arguing cases before juries, first-instance decision-makers and appeal courts. He has also assisted clients in mediations and regularly accepts advisory instructions.

Belle Archibald

Belle is an Associate in the Crown Specialist team. Before joining Meredith Connell in 2020, Belle was employed as a criminal defence barrister working for two barristers. In this role, Belle appeared on a range of criminal matters and appeals in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Belle also has experience in parole matters.

Ben Kirkpatrick

Ben is an Associate in the Crown Specialist Group, where he regularly appears in the Auckland High, District and Youth Court, conducting pretrial, trial and appellate work. To date, he has prosecuted crimes including drugs, sex, violence and regulatory offences.

Sir Vincent Meredith

Sir Vincent Meredith was appointed Auckland's first Crown Solicitor in 1921, followed by Robert Meredith, Sir Graham Speight, David Morris, Simon Moore and Brian Dickey. In 2023, Alysha McClintock became Crown Solicitor, creating an unbroken lineage that extends beyond our 100 th year.
