Dr. Szynal is originally from Indianapolis. She graduated from Butler University with a degree in chemistry then attended Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Szynal then completed a 4 year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (or Physiatry). She was medical director of Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital in Denver for 2 years then her interests led to outpatient musculoskeletal practice and she started Lutheran Outpatient Rehabilitation. Ultimately Dr. Szynal moved back to Indiana and has practiced in Goshen for 27 years. Dr. Szynal is an active member of the North American Spine Society (NASS), and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the Indiana State Medical Association. When not in the office she enjoys spending time on the lake water skiing and swimming. She also loves tennis.
