MAD LAB

MAD Lab was founded in 2013 with the mission of bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to develop solutions for devices and other technical interventions brought to us by the College of Medicine. Since then, we have worked on multiple projects such as a passive baby warming wrap for low resource environments, to a stroke rehabilitation device to a non-invasive temperature monitor using an arterial line for placement... We are an interdisciplinary team drawing on the strengths of our fields to support great ideas that improve healthcare... Through diverse perspectives from our interdisciplinary cohort of graduate students and faculty (Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science, Design, and Business), MAD Lab conducts clinical needs validation, generates innovative concept solutions, and provides a thorough outline of the potential market opportunity.
