TURBULENCE
Updated 360 days ago
Turbulence is the most common state of fluid motion in natural and engineering systems. Some examples include mixing of heat, contaminants and momentum in atmosphere and oceans, mixing in engines, aerodynamics, propulsion, drag, the interstellar medium, etc. However its complexity has made the topic extraordinarily difficult. At TACL we develop and use the most advanced computational tools combined with theory and analysis to understand a number of aspects of turbulent flows.
