Grahame handles many of the larger accounts preparation and audit jobs and management accounts using Sage and is also responsible for online submission of company forms.
James is an accountancy graduate who qualified with the London office of a national firm but subsequently moved to smaller firms in London and the West Country before moving to lovely Cumbria. He became a Partner in the firm in 2003 becoming Senior Partner in 2015. James heads up the Tax Department and will advise on Tax Planning for all clients. James lives in the Duddon Valley and is a keen fell runner and race organiser for the Duddon Valley Fell races. James is a member of the GSK grant panel

- Accounts & Payroll Assistant
Kate is responsible for the preparation of many of the payrolls that the firm handles, including the auto-enrolment pensions. In addition she helps with the book-keeping, accounts jobs and VAT's.
Lynn is our Tax & Admin Assistant. As such, she deals with the self-assessment tax returns for individuals and partnerships, whilst also supporting the Partners and Practice Administrator with various administrative duties, including manning reception. She is also the friendly voice who most frequently answers your calls.
Michael is our AAT trainee. Coming to us straight from school, he is currently studying for his AAT Level 3, whilst working on book-keeping, VAT's and accounts jobs.
Simon has been at Melville & Co since April 2010; initially as manager, before becoming a partner in the firm in April 2015. After leaving University, he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant and worked in Suffolk and the South of England before moving to Cumbria. Outside of work Simon likes to spend time on the fells, and to relax by following rugby and cricket.
Wendy handles most of our smaller accounts jobs, book-keeping and VAT's. Wendy is our expert on Quickbooks.
