Adrian Houston

Adrian Houston started his photographic career as assistant to legendary photographer, Michael Joseph and early success came with his innovative portraiture work. An exceptional eye for detail and a passion for new photographic challenges has led from editorial commissions to major advertising campaigns, as well as the opportunity to travel to some of the world's most unexplored and inhospitable terrains. His association with the celebrated Mr & Mrs Smith series of travel guides has helped put the brand on the map, and his atmospheric images have also caught the attention of some of the world's leading hotel brands.

Alexander James

After a number of years living abroad, Alexander James as returned to his native London, from where he continues to take photographs on both land and sea. Although never too far from an airport, he works predominantly in the UK for many leading interior designers and architects, and contributes to a number of leading editorial publications. In a recent interview, Alexander was asked about his USP and decided that it was "to bring light to the party".

Antonio Monfreda

Antonio Monfreda has always been interested in the world of contemporary and modern art in relation to collecting, interiors and portfolios. Following a few years with private bankers, Rothschilds in London, he returned to his hometown of Rome and joined forces with Mauro Nicoletti. Together they developed links between creative events, fashion and art and established an international network of collectors, collaborators and patrons. Monfreda's next move came as Project Manager to a group of photographers and artists, including Mario Testino, which in turn led to a joint venture with Patrick Kinmonth, the opera director and multidisciplinary artist and designer, masterminding and developing collaborations with institutions in the world of art and fashion. Co-founder with Martina Mondadori of the successful magazine Cabana, Monfreda turned his talent to the photography of interiors and lifestyle, More recently he was appointed Art Director for Bally, thus maintaining his strong links with both fashion and interior design.

Guillaume Bonn

Guillaume is one of the Archive's wild card members. A French photojournalist born in Africa, he has covered the continent as a war photographer, yet has also shown a talent for lifestyle photography. A regular contributor to Vanity Fair and the NY Times Magazine, Guillaume has also published two books in 2007, ‘Le Mal d'Afrique' and ‘Peter Beard, Scrapbooks from Africa & Beyond' and is a co-founder of photographic cooperative Think Pictures.

Harry Cory Wright

Harry shoots on a Gandolfi 10×8-inch plate camera. His unique talent for capturing the landscape has won him commercial campaigns for the Cornwall Tourist Board and a series of advertisements for Dulux. His iconic photographs regularly feature in books and magazines, and are sold as art prints through his gallery in Norfolk. Harry's most recent project culminated in A Journey through the British Isles, a book of photographs published by Merrell.

Helen Fickling

Helen specialises in the photography of contemporary landscape and garden design and has worked with many of the world's leading designers and landscape architects. She has a passion for gardening and her fascination with the interplay between contemporary architecture and the form and texture of plants is reflected in her individual photographic style. Published in books and magazines, Helen's work is also held in a number of private and corporate collections. She is a Royal Horticultural Society photographic committee member and judge.

James Fennell

Vanishing Ireland - a vital chronicle of a rapidly disappearing world - is one of numerous titles that James Fennell already has to his name. This extraordinary variety of books reveals Fennell's connection with his subject, be it people, portraits, interiors or landscapes, as well as the warm-hearted approach that he brings to his photography, working wherever possible with natural light to ensure that his images are both real and atmospheric. Born and educated in Ireland, Fennell is never idle, dividing his time between a busy calendar of photographic assignments and the care of one of the most beautiful private gardens in Kildare - his family estate at Burtown.

James McDonald

James McDonald is an experienced interior photographer based in London. Self taught, he has been working professionally for 12 years. Commissions extend from the UK, Europe and the Middle East as far as Africa, Asia and America, and James's photographs (and frequently accompanying text) have been published in magazines, such as House & Garden, The World of Interiors, Vogue Living and Cabana. The author and photographer of a book on Alnwick Castle, James was also the special photographer on interior designer Alidad's book, The Timeless Home, and continues to work with international publishers. In addition he takes on private commissions, still life and portraits, for high profile families where trust and reliability matter. James's versatility, work ethic, editorial eye and attention to detail have endeared him to leading interior designers, new restaurants and hotels as well as the world's leading auction houses. He is adept in difficult lighting conditions, able to capture the atmosphere of an interior balancing both natural and artificial light.

Karen Howes

Karen Howes specialises in interiors, architecture and lifestyle, and represents a selection of the world's best photographers. Well-connected, professional and with a deserved reputation for quality and experience, this select group work for a wide range of clients in both the editorial and commercial sectors. Karen Howes, owner and director of The Interior Archive, has Robert Harling, erstwhile editor of House & Garden, to thank for kick-starting a career in the mid-1980s as a writer and journalist. Since when, she has written articles for House & Garden and The World of Interiors, Veranda, Milieu and a wealth of other international interiors and lifestyle magazines. She has also written a number of books: Making the Most of Bedrooms; Living in London; Gerard Depardieu's My Cookbook; Vacation Homes & Perfect Weekend Hideaways; Luxury Minimal; New York Interiors; Studio Indigo and London Living. Karen has also collaborated on a number of others: Homes & Gardens Book of Design; John Stefanidis, Living by Design.

Karyn Millet

After 14 years in publishing and public relations, Karyn Millet decided to pursue her passion for the visual arts and in a very short time has made a name for herself as an emerging new photographic talent in the field of interior design. ‘My goal is to photograph life - and that means capturing moments, chronicling scenes and capturing beauty,' says Millet. Her work now features regularly in magazines such as House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue India and a host of other American publications and she has also worked on three book projects.

Luke White

Luke has a deserved reputation as the consummate lighting technician, an accolade that often lands him the most difficult commissions, sometimes in almost impossible lighting conditions - despite (or maybe because of) this, he always brings a refreshing enthusiasm to his shoots. Though a perfectionist in every detail Luke' states his goal like this: "I like to work quickly and with great energy. What is important for me is to convey the feeling of actually being in the locations I photograph". His latest book British Embassies with ex Sotheby's director James Stourton was published in October 2017 by Frances Lincoln.

Sasha Gusov

Sasha Gusov was first introduced to photography at the age of 13 and moved to England from his native Russia in 1989, establishing his credentials as ‘an image-maker with something to say' in 1993, when a self-commissioned project ‘Images of the Bolshoi Ballet' was published by the British Journal of Photography. Sasha is a photographer who is intrigued by the human comedy of manners and his archive is a richly diverse and interesting resource of portraits of leading artists from theatre, music and dance. Widely published, his work includes a collection of photographic books, which include Photography (2014), Bolshoi Ballet (2017 and Michelangelo (2018).

Simon Brown

Based in London, Simon Brown is an experienced interior, still life and people photographer with an international reputation. His work is both artistic and journalistic, portraying the beauty of the home in all its diversity, which he often romanticises and bathes in atmospheric daylight. The use of north light, favoured by painters, is a particular influence in his photography. ​In a career dating back more than thirty years, Simon's photographs have been published in books and magazines worldwide, while his personal work is available through specialist galleries. Largely self-taught, he attended The Medway College of Design, before starting his career in 1983 at a photographic studio in Chelsea, London. Today, Simon's work is published in The World of Interiors, House & Garden, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair and Vogue, while a growing portfolio of commercial clients include Kit Kemp and Firmdale Hotels, Lucky Onion Group, Soho House, The Ned, University Arms Hotel, Colefax & Fowler, de Gournay, Beata Heuman and many more.

Taylor Hall O'Brien

Taylor Hall O'Brien received his first camera at 13 and never looked back. Self-taught, his professional career began in fashion, working both as a fashion photographer and modelling agent, before shifting his focus to interiors. His experience in fashion directly influences his sensibilities regarding dynamic composition, attention to detail, and openness to an unconventional approach. His work has been commissioned by numerous interiors and fashion clients and has been featured in countless publications, including The World of Interiors, Cabana, Vogue, WWD, L'Officiel, The Cut, and more. Taylor has never met a stranger and finds delight in the process of image-making from start to finish. He strives to make every project streamlined, inclusive, and fun. Taylor's most important roles are husband and father. He has a son, Henry, and beloved dog, Barley. Taylor and his family reside in the US but often travel internationally for work and leisure.
