In 1963 Charles Douglas Friend (Doug) started the business, renting a building on the site of the old Hardwick Hand Laundry, on the Hardwick Industrial Estate. As time went on, the business grew, forcing Doug to move to larger premises on the site, as well as being joined by his son's Dennis and Ian; with their younger brother David and sister Fay joining a few years later. Today the business has two sites; it's Body Repair Centre on the Moreton Hall Industrial Estate and the MOT + Mechanical station based along Eastgate Street. We now employ 8 full-time and part-time technicians... CD Friend and Sons Ltd have over 50 years experience of motor..
