ASSISI BLIND SCHOOL

Assisi School for the deaf and the blind was founded by Assisi sisters of Mary immaculate under the guidance of Rev: Msgr. Joseph Kandathil in 1968 at Neerpara, Thalayolaparampu in Kottayam District. Government of Kerala recognised the institution up to 7th standard by 1975-76 academic year. In 1993 Assisi School for the blind was shifted to Kalaketty, a naturally blessed and beautiful rural location in Erattupetta. Today, Asissi School for the Blind Kalaketty is a well-respected private aided malayalam medium specialist regional resource for children of primary and upper primary classes. School has all required facilities including well built and maintained class rooms, Library, rooms for non-teaching activities, computer aided learning lab, modern toilets, playground for cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and other sports...
