Akash Puri

Akash is a senior consultant at CPC Analytics, Pune office. He has 8 years of experience working with the state and local governments, NGOs and consulting organizations collectively on a wide range of domains such as rural development, financial inclusion, sanitation, CSR, education and environment to name a few. At CPC Analytics, Akash works on Public Policy Analytics where we develop an understanding of data management and strategic analysis. Our efforts help engage and execute governance projects with governments and elected representatives to assist them in making data-backed decisions. He has done his Master's in Urban Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Bachelor's of Engineering in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai. He is interested in environmental sustainability and travelling is his hobby.

Aswin Kumar

As a Research Analyst at CPC Analytics, Aswin has worked on issues related to community welfare and health policy both with the Pune as well as the Berlin office. He is interested in comparative law and legal analytics. He has an integrated undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Law from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi. He is passionate about pursuing a career in public policymaking and research.

Ayush Patel

Ayush is an economist working at the intersection of data, public policy, and development. As an RStudio Certified Tidyverse Instructor, he enjoys teaching data analysis and its applications using R. He has worked with multiple organisations conducting research and analysis. He works with organisations to visualise data and develop dashboards and web applications. He has previously worked with elected representatives and state government officials researching rights-based laws for implementing and monitoring welfare programs mainly targeted towards tribals in Maharashtra. He also has prior experience in conducting experimental field research.

Christian Franz - Founder

Christian is partner and co-founder of CPC Analytics and leads the company's Berlin office. Christian's expertise lies in the analysis of global health policy and economic policy in Germany, Europe and beyond. He has led 30+ projects at CPC Analytics consulting public sector clients (e.g. German Ministry of Health, World Health Organisation, German International Corporation for Cooperation) as well as NGOs (e.g. German Network against Neglected Tropical Diseases), and corporations (e.g. Siemens). He has researched and published on Germany's, the EU's, and India's role in global health. Christian has also been affiliated with the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) where he has worked closely with the Institute's president, Marcel Fratzscher. He analyzed the impact of regional disparities on election outcomes, built a multidimensional index comparing EU capitals, and researched inequality in incomes and wealth in Germany. Christian holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and economic analysis from Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich and a Master's degree in public policy from Hertie School of Governance Berlin.

Ovee Karwa is a Research Analyst at CPC Analytics, where she is involved mostly in qualitative analysis. She has pursued her Bachelor's Literary and Cultural studies at FLAME University, Pune. Her interest areas are public policy, health, poverty and inequality. At CPC, she has worked with various national commissions, such as the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights and National Commission for Scheduled Tribes conducting qualitative research in the areas of education and governance. She has also worked with local and State governments to suggest public policy recommendations in the areas of socio-economic welfare.

Sahil is partner and co-founder of CPC Analytics. As a part of CPC Analytics, he has consulted a range of multilateral, bilateral and private sector organisations in Europe, Asia and Africa; and local and state governments in India. He has a PhD in Governance and Masters in Public Policy from the Hertie School, Berlin. Sahil's expertise lies in the fields of explainable AI, technology, public policy, governance and data analysis.

Sanjana Krishnan

Sanjana Krishnan was a partner at CPC. Sanjana is currently pursuing her PhD in the field of Geography from University of Kentucky. As part of CPC, she has consulted for public sector and non-governmental organizations such as GIZ, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Save the Children, among others. She has also worked with city governments on open data and is a member of the DataMeet Open data community in Pune. Sanjana has a Masters in Urban Policy and Governance from Tata Institute for Social Sciences, Mumbai, an undergraduate degree in physics from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai, and a diploma in Cyber Law from Government Law College, Mumbai.

For over ten years, Siddharth has worked with Government Ministries & departments, several municipal corporations, and water & sewerage boards across India on various aspects related to pumps & pumping equipment for the water & sewage sector over ten years as a Director at Kishor Pumps.Siddharth is an expert member of the Gokhale Institute of Politics & Economics. He is a council member at cGanga, a policy & technology arm of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. He also serves on the advisory board of the Indian Biogas Association (IBA) & as a water domain expert on the city innovation exchange committee of Pimpri Chinchwad Smart City.

Steven Kerr

Steven Kerr holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and is currently pursuing a Master of Data Science for Public Policy at the Hertie School in Berlin. At CPC Analytics, Steven supports the Berlin office as a Junior Data Scientist for his professional year experience as part of his Master's degree at the Hertie School. Throughout his coursework, he has placed special emphasis on public health topics and developed algorithms capable of validating COVID self-test results and detecting the spread of COVID-related fake news over social media platforms. His professional experience includes working on the United States' National Security Space Launch programme where he performed quantitative analyses to support government negotiations with rocket launch providers.

Surabhi Desai

Surabhi is a Software Engineer at CPC Analytics who primarily works on web scraping and data visualizations using Python, D3js. For over seven years, Surabhi has worked in front-end technologies. In previous organization she worked on developing responsive UI using Angular 9 +, HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap4 for clients like Vitalife, LOGIN Asia - MELP. She also worked in creating and integrating REST API's, integrating payment gateways in application using .Net Core 2.1 and databases like MongoDB 4.6, MySql and integrating Google Analytics to track user activities. Surabhi also developed a dashboard for GIZ(Nepal) to visualize health sector data and Nepal earthquake data using Core Java, Javascript and D3js. She has completed her Bachelors in Computer Science from KIT's College of Engineering, Kolhapur.

Zoila Leiva Rioja

Zoila holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School, where she specialised in public management and gender studies. Her professional experience includes working for the Public Finance Management programme implemented by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in Peru, where she provided technical assistance to local governments in implementing internal control systems. Zoila also worked as a Consultant for the Seguro Integral de Salud in Peru, where she contributed to the mapping institution's processes. Additionally, she was a Consultancy Assistant for the Congreso de la República, Peru's national parliament, in the field of decentralisation.
