I learned the ins and outs of intellectual property law and litigation as an associate at Fish & Neave. While at Fish, I did extensive legal research and drafting on issues of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and contract law. I conducted discovery, prepared witnesses, wrote motions on substance and procedure and prepared documents for trial. I also drafted agreements for software developers and licensors and co-authored a National Law Journal article on one of the Lotus software copyright decisions... As an IP litigator at Hopgood, Calimafde, Judlowe & Mondolino, I worked on a litigation against IBM concerning wormhole routing and RAID technologies. The case settled shortly before trial... I very briefly worked as a consultant for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). That job made being a lawyer look good.
