Carly Jones

Carly joined FDC Law in 2018 as a member of the Residential Property Department after moving to the area, and is based at the Midsomer Norton Office. Prior to joining FDC, Carly worked as a Conveyancing Assistant in a firm in Bristol and dealt with a range of sale, purchase, remortgage and transfer files, and has also lived and worked in Australia for a short time. When not working Carly loves the outdoors, running and socialising and of course travelling.

Claire Davis

Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and joined the Private Client Department at FDC Law in August 2020 bringing a wealth of experience and expertise with her. Primarily based at the firm's Keynsham office, Claire specialises in Residential Property and all areas of Private Client Work, including Wills, Administration of Estates, Deputyship, Powers of Attorney and related property matters. When not working Claire enjoys her garden and spending time with family and friends.

Emma Williams

Emma first joined FDC Law in 2018, Emma previously worked as a legal secretary, while doing so, she decided she wanted a greater understanding of the law. Emma attended University as a mature student to study law and graduated in 2007. She then worked as an adviser before studying further to qualify as a solicitor, being admitted in 2017. Emma specialises in Private Client work. In her spare time, Emma enjoys keeping fit and running. She has completed 2 Half Marathons, and a number of 10KM runs.

Erica Newman-Berry

Erica joined FDC Law in 2022 and is a solicitor in the Firm's Family Department, based in the Keynsham office dealing with all areas of family law, including divorce, civil partnerships and separation, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and children matters. Erica undertook a degree in Biology and European studies, before gaining experience in the workplace. Later, as her passion for helping people developed further, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Law, followed by the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University. After completing her training period in Cardiff, she was admitted as a solicitor in 2021. Prior to becoming a solicitor, Erica has had experience in a variety of industries. After graduating, Erica became a Business Manager in the NHS where she developed management skills. During this time she enrolled in further studies, enabling her to teach English as a foreign language in Thailand. Upon her return to the UK, Erica engaged in client focussed roles giving her the opportunity to directly support members of the local community. While undergoing her education in Law, Erica worked with the Citizens Advice Bureau in South East Wales. As part of her interest in cultures and societies, she is an avid traveller. Erica leads an active lifestyle and enjoys the British outdoors, camping, walking, cycling and trips with her dog.

Jayne Wells

Jayne is a senior conveyancer whose career stretches over 25 years. Jayne's experience covers a wide range of residential conveyancing matters, including the sale and purchase of both Freeholds and Leaseholds, transfers of equity, re-mortgaging and buy to let. She has experience in "Help to Buy" transactions and shared ownership, and often deals with property related matters arising from matrimonial disputes or end of life events. Jayne is also particularly proficient with first registrations of unregistered title and technical legal issues arising from historic deeds. Jayne's efficiency, clear guidance, and hands-on approach are appreciated by her clients, and this is reflected in the number of repeat instructions and recommendations she receives.

Jonathan Wood - CFO

Jonathan went to school locally and was admitted as a solicitor with FDC Law in 1991 and brings a wealth of experience to serving his clients best interests. As Head of Finance, Jonathan enjoys the challenge of retaining and building on the very personal service the clients of FDC Law enjoy, while developing the business of providing quality legal services for both private and commercial clients. Jonathan is a Property Law specialist with detailed knowledge of Residential and Commercial Property, although his primary focus is now on his financial management role. A keen cyclist, Jonathan is also a supporter of Bath Rugby Club where he is a season ticket holder.

Lauren Titheradge

Lauren joined FDC Law in 2023, as a member of the Residential Property Department. She has over 18 years experience as a Co nveyancer, and is used to dealing not only with straightforward sales and purchases, but also with New Build properties, Help to Buy and Shared Ownership. Lauren moved to Somerset in 2012 and enjoys walking, travel and socialising.

Marjorie Taylor

Marjorie joined FDC Law in 2001 and is based at the Midsomer Norton office. She is a family solicitor, and is head of the Firm's Family Department. She specialises in all areas of family law, including divorce, civil partnerships and separation, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and children's issues including disputes over arrangements for who children should live with or spend time with. She is a member of Resolution (Formerly the Solicitor's Family Law Association) Marjorie is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer. She was brought up in Somerset, attended the Blue School in Wells and studied at Manchester and Bristol Universities. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and trained and worked in Manchester for 5 years before returning to Somerset in 2001. Outside work, her interests include bell-ringing, travel and theatre. Marjorie is the firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP)

Michael Coward

Michael is a licensed conveyancer and joined FDC Law in 2017, in the Residential Property department in Midsomer Norton. He became Head of the department in January 2019. Originally from Dorchester in Dorset Michael studied in Bristol and worked for a regional law firm before joining FDC Law . Away from Conveyancing, Michael enjoys travelling and all sports but particularly enjoys football, golf and horse racing. Where possible Michael likes to combine his passions with golf trips abroad in various different parts of the world. When not on the golf course Michael can be found on the race course watching horse racing and is a regular attendee at Cheltenham for race meetings and the festival meet.

Michelle Deane

Michelle joined the Private Client Team as an Executive at FDC Law in 2023 having over 22 years' experience. Michelle grew up in Bath where she started her career at a Bath law firm and then later moved to Midsomer Norton. Michelle specialises in the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and is also experienced in Court of Protection work. Michelle is friendly and approachable and prides herself at putting her clients at ease.

Michelle has specialised in conveyancing for over twenty years and has handled residential sales and purchases, Auctions, Transfer of Equity, remortgages, agricultural land, building plots, unregistered title, freehold, leasehold and shared ownership. She enjoys dealing with unusual, quirky and listed properties. Michelle prides herself on providing a service to ensure it is as stress free as possible. When not working Michelle enjoys spending time with her two grown up children as well as horse riding, dog walking and reading.

Rebecca Robinson

Rebecca is a CILEX Lawyer and joined FDC Law in 2022. Rebecca is local to the area and is an experienced Conveyancer. She deals with a wide range of residential conveyancing, sale and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, Transfers of Part, Remortgages, Equity Release and Transfers of Equity. Rebecca takes great joy with the fact that clients have the benefit of her extensive knowledge and experience she has gained in over 20 years of Conveyancing practice, a legal career she thoroughly enjoys. She provides an efficient and friendly service and nothing is too much trouble as she enjoys helping her clients through the complicated legal process. When not working Rebecca is an active Member of her children's school, where she volunteers for the PTA. She loves anything which involves craft, an activity she cherishes with her two children. She also loves football - having football lovers in the house, she does not get any other choice!

Sarah Mitchard

Victoria Panchal

Victoria obtained her law degree from the University of Nottingham and completed her training contract in London. On qualifying as a Solicitor in 2015, Victoria worked in Frome building her experience in residential conveyancing before joining FDC Law in 2018 as an Associate Solicitor in the Keynsham office. Victoria has experience in sales and purchases of both leasehold and freehold properties (including sales and purchases of part, auctions, new build properties and probate sales). Much of Victoria's work also includes transfers of equity, equity releases and re-mortgages. Clients appreciate Victoria's friendly and approachable demeanor and she always works hard to achieve her clients goals. Victoria is now based at our Midsomer Norton office.
