Ferran-New York was formed in 2000 by New York City based designer and Creative Director Kathryn Ferran Kayajan a former architectural designer. Kathryn attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Parsons School of Design and draws from her years of practicing graphic design and architectural design as well as her artisan background to form the foundation of Ferran. While working with retail clients at the esteemed architectural firm Gensler she was inspired by the creative process and began lending her talents to textile design forming her own company. Having grown up on Cape Cod she wanted to create a line that was relaxed, fresh and modern but still classic in style. Kayajan's signature artwork, her use of color and attention to quality and detail make this her signature style.
