Allyson Malloy

Allyson's role is responsible for the development and implementation of HR and Safety systems across the HVTC Group. These systems support recruitment, talent management and training, and ensure the health, safety and welfare of all HVTC Group staff, students, and hosted employees.

Ellen Morris

Job Titles:
  • Group Marketing & Communications Manager
Ellen commenced with HVTC in January 2022 as the Group Marketing and Communications Manager. Ellen's strength and experience in corporate communications, marketing, and brand development allows her to implement and lead the HVTC Group's marketing and communication strategy.

Helen Liossis

Helen Liossis joined the HVTC Board of Directors in June 2021. Helen has over 30 years of experience in corporate strategy, transformations, business planning, corporate services, investor relations, and corporate affairs. Helen has held senior executive positions in a diverse range of ASX100 companies, as well as large, complex public sector organisations including Prime Minister and Cabinet, the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and Sydney Water Corporation.

John Sandell

John Sandell joined the HVTC Board of Directors in June 2021 John is a senior leader with extensive experience spanning multiple industries, including Financial Services and Human Resources. He has a demonstrated track record in change management, operational excellence, and corporate strategy within Public, Private and Not-for-Profit sectors. John has also had previous GTO experience working on the North Coast of NSW.

Kay Sharp

Job Titles:

Mrs Sharp started her career as a stenographer with the Maitland City Council before running her own secretarial bureau and accepting a position as Mr Morris's electoral secretary. She retired from the political arena in February 1981 and joined HVTC in June of that year as CEO. Mrs Sharp took up a position on the HVTC Board of Directors in 2002. She retired in May 2019.

Laura Steel

Laura Steel joined the HVTC team as Group Program & ICT Manager in January 2022, bringing with her over 12 years' experience in project management. Laura focuses on leading strategic business development and change management across the HVTC Group.

Libby Ford

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager
Libby is HVTC's Operations Manager and has worked in various roles including the Group Training Operations in Payroll and as a Team Leader to the GTO Team. Libby was promoted to Manager GTO Operations December 2012.

Patrick Gallagher

Patrick Gallagher joined the HVTC Board in June 2018. Mr Gallagher was formerly in the Australian Army and has held several general management and subject matter expert roles in business, corporate strategy and enterprise risk management in the public and private sectors, both in Australia and overseas. Patrick is Chairman of the Central Coast Community College and a Non-Executive Director of Brisbane Water (NSW Legacy).

Peter Annis-Brown

Peter Annis-Brown joined the HVTC Board of Directors in May 2019. As well as being the Founder/Owner of ManageHealth & ManageSport, Mr Annis-Brown sits on advisory grant committees for Local and Federal MP's, is a member of the Industry Council for Fitness Australia and a Director for the Central Coast Community College. Peter is an independent Contractor/Consultant specialising in VET, Education and Industry relationships.

Phil Cox

Phil Cox commenced his career in the shipping and transport industry before working for the NSW Government, in various senior management roles, over a period of almost 20 years. In 1991 he joined TAFE NSW where he held Senior Executive positions until 2015. Mr Cox joined the HVTC Board in 2015 and appointed as Deputy Chair in 2021. He is active in the VET sector as a consultant and strategic advisor working with various industry and training organisations.

Robert Cameron - Chairman

Bob Cameron was appointed as Chairman of HVTC in 2012 following in the footsteps of Founding Chairman, the late Hon. Milton Morris AO. Bob Cameron had a long career as a senior manager in the coal industry and became the Founder of Centennial Coal Co. Ltd., its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer until stepping down in June 2011. Bob is also a Director on the Board of the NSW State Library Council.

Sharon Smith - CEO

Sharon Smith was appointed as HVTC's CEO in November 2012. She took on the role with an outstanding record of achievement, with over 20 years as a dynamic and influential Senior Executive in the Utilities, Regional Development and private sectors. Sharon Smith was appointed Chief Executive Officer of HVTC in 2013 and was appointed as an Executive Director in 2021. Sharon has extensive experience as a dynamic and influential Senior Executive and Non-Executive Director in Utilities, Regional Development, Education and Employment across the Private, Public and not for profit sectors.

Sue Murray

Sue Murray has over 30 years' experience in finance and commercial leadership across various industries including agriculture, not-for-profit and, most recently, defence and aerospace. She is currently a senior manager at the global defence company BAE Systems Australia. Mrs Murray joined the HVTC Board in 2018 and is passionate about career development for the next generation. Sue is also a Director on the Board of the Central Coast Community College.

The Honourable Milton Morris

Mr. Morris has helped to facilitate the flexible delivery of group training to ensure the best possible outcomes for school leavers and job seekers. He championed and supported those who have searched for rewarding, valuable careers though vocational education and employment pathways by finding and implementing skills training solutions to ensure young people achieved the best possible outcomes.

Trisha Oswald
