Morton House is located in downtown Shipshewana, Indiana within the heart of Northeastern Indiana's Amish Country. Guests at the House have easy access to the attractions, sights, and sounds of the area... For your convenience, Morton House offers complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, pop and snacks in the dining room... The Georgian style Victorian-era home and an adjacent medical clinic were built in 1880 by Dr. Hunn when the streets were still dirt and before Shipshewana was incorporated in 1889. The first 5 doctors, Dr. Hunn, Dr. Schrock, Dr. Hostetler, Dr. Norris, and Dr. Link, of Shipshewana, lived in the home and practiced in the adjacent medical clinic between 1880-1922.
