David Cramer

Job Titles:
  • Commercial Department Manager
David is highly skilled in design, digital output, and graphic film application and has more than 37 years of experience in the sign industry. As our Commercial Department Manager, he fabricates and installs a broad range of commercial products including vinyl graphics, banners, a-boards, aluminum and plastic signs, vehicle lettering and wraps, window graphics, and more. When David isn't making signs, he's backpacking, geocaching, or hiking throughout Oregon and Washington. He's a huge Minnesota Vikings football fan and can be heard cheering for the Vikings on Sundays and the occasional Monday or Thursday. He's married to Nancy and has three daughters, Stephanie, Kassandra, and Elizabeth, and two grandsons, Broc and Jeromey. His extended family includes two Furry four-legged children that Nancy and David rescued from a dog shelter, Oreo and Cookie. Fun fact about David, he worked on the first computer for sign manufacturing in 1985.

Jamie Sutterfield

Jamie and Jim share a similar story when it comes to building the Signs Plus brand. The two were high school sweethearts and after getting married they moved to Hawaii. In 1991 their daughter, Sydney was born in Kailua Oahu. Jamie is the head of our Administrative department and keeps everyone on track. She actively builds and maintains relationships within the community. Spending time with the Whatcom Women in Business and former owner of North Coast Gymnastics Academy. Jamie and Jim started Signs Plus in 1992 doing banners and decals. They slowly built the business over time, selling their pickup truck to purchase a computer and plotter. What a journey it has been and continues to be.

Jim Sutterfield - President

Jim has led Signs Plus from its simple beginnings as a small commercial sign shop to one of the West Coasts' leading sign companies. He is our president and one of the Signs Plus founders. Jim and his wife Jamie launched the company in 1992 after serving 6 years in the United States Marine Corps. Jim has a passion for outdoor recreation. He's equally at home on trails, roads, lakes, and Puget Sound and loves hiking, backpacking, biking, camping, motorcycle riding, water sports, and more. He's shared 34 years with his wife Jamie, and they have one amazing daughter, who is now our Project Manager.

Kelly Pfannenstiel

Kelly has been a part of the Signs Plus team since 2005. She took time in between to raise her 3 children and started back in 2015. She has over 20 years of accounting experience. She makes sure our books are in order and invoices are paid. Additionally, she prepares financial documents, manages projects, and brings zesty energy into the office. Outside of work Kelly enjoys reading almost any kind of fiction as well as spending time with her family. She is also the daughter of our General Manager/CFO, Kim, and the mother of our Administrative Assistant, Sam.

Ken Dennis

Ken is an expert in signage and décor design, fabrication, and installation. He joined us in 2011, bringing more than 35 years of experience in the sign and advertising industry to us. As our Sales Manager, Ken's primary focus is ensuring our clients receive top-notch customer service and effective sign advertising. Ken lives life to the fullest and loves riding motorcycles, fishing, and traveling. He has two sons, two daughters, one granddaughter, and two grandsons.

Kim Jeppson - CFO

Kim is an expert in efficiency and productivity and brings more than 30 years of management and finance experience to our ranks. As our General Manager, she keeps Signs Plus running effectively and efficiently. Kim is a company shareholder and is committed to our continued growth and development. When she's not in our office, she's spending time with her husband Dwight, her family, and her Newfoundland, Rhoda.

Rob Henderson

Rob began his Signs Plus journey on May 20th, 2014. He has been in the sign industry since 1984, possessing a wide range and masterclass signage experience. He started his career after graduating from Sehome High School by sweeping the floors of a sign shop for $2.65 per hour. We are blessed to have Rob in charge of our production crew. He keeps projects rolling along smoothly and is a pro when it comes to fabricating signs. Rob has always had a knack for crafting with his hands. His passion lies in woodworking. He loves the calming presence of shaping wood into beautiful carpentry. Rob also enjoys hunting and fishing. He graduated from Bellingham Technical College studying Fishery and Biology, however, in his heart, signs had him hooked.

Steve Wydur

Steve is a highly knowledgeable journey-level sign electrician and installer with over 20 years of experience. As our Service and Installation Coordinator, he brings a wealth of skills and expertise to our projects. Steve is a licensed electrician, certified crane operator, and certified field welder. He also has a broad range of installation and service skills including concrete finishing, assembly, and troubleshooting and repair. Steve has two daughters and a son and loves to camp on Puget Sound's picturesque islands. He also enjoys water sports.

Sydney Sutterfield

Sydney has a wealth of experience in marketing and management and holds an AS in Business Administration. She joined us as a Project Manager in 2015, but she has been a part of the Signs Plus family since she was a child. She grew up watching her parents, Jim and Jamie Sutterfield grow their business from a small commercial vinyl shop to the successful full-service sign company we are today. In 2021 she was nominated Top 7 under 40 by Whatcom Young Professionals. WYP was started to give young professionals an opportunity and platform to further foster relationships and build community within Whatcom. Sydney keeps our projects moving smoothly and is devoted to our continued growth. When she's not organizing and overseeing projects, she's exploring with family and friends. Her adventures take her to pristine beaches, rugged castles, scenic hiking, biking and ATV trails, remote campgrounds, and ski and snowboarding slopes. A fun fact about Sydney is she was a competitive gymnast for 11 years!
