Julie L. Cibulskis

Julie Cibulskis received her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Creighton University in 1995, and graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1998. She was also admitted into the Illinois Bar in 1998. Ms. Cibulskis concentrates her civil trial practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, will contests, guardianships, and contract disputes. She has successfully tried cases in both state and federal court, and has had jury verdicts in numerous Illinois counties, including Cook, Kane, DuPage, LaSalle, and Kendall. Ms. Cibulskis is a member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, DuPage County Bar Association, and Kane County Bar Association. From 2002 to 2006, she served as a Director on the Kane County Bar Association Board of Managers, and from 2004 to 2009, she was Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee. In 2008-2009, she served as President of the Kane County Bar Association. She and Tim Reuland co-authored a chapter in the 2012 Illinois CLE publication "Proving and Disproving Damages in Personal Injury Cases." In 2005, Ms. Cibulskis received the inaugural Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the Kane County Bar Association, and in 2006, the Illinois State Bar Association named her one of two Young Lawyers of the Year. She was named one of the Law Bulletin's 2009 "Top 40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch." Ms. Cibulskis has also been selected as a Leading Lawyer in personal injury and as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Ms. Cibulskis also volunteers her time in the community. She served on the Rosary High School Board from 2002 to 2012, and was a member of the school board at St. John the Baptist in Winfield from 2012 to 2013. Keith A. Johnson

Keith Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in 1992, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1995. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Johnson was an Assistant State's Attorney in the Office of the Kane County State's Attorney. He joined the law firm of O'Hagan, Smith & Amundsen in 2000, where he concentrated his practice in personal injury litigation and commercial litigation. In November 2006, Mr. Johnson joined Speers, Reuland & Cibulskis, P.C. Mr. Johnson is a civil trial attorney with extensive courtroom experience in all kinds of personal injury litigation, including wrongful death, auto accidents, premises liability, construction site injuries, and causes of action under the Animal Control Act. He also handles commercial litigation involving breach of contract and other business-related matters. He has successfully tried cases before juries in many Northern Illinois counties, including Kane, DuPage, DeKalb, Kendall, Will, and Cook. Mr. Johnson is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Kane County Bar Association. Kirsten Casas

Kirsten Casas received her undergraduate degree in Government and German from the University of Notre Dame in 2002, and graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2008, where she was the Conference Editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2008. Mrs. Casas was the Senior Staff Attorney for the Circuit Court of the 16th Judicial Circuit of Illinois from 2009 to 2011 before joining Speers, Reuland & Cibulskis, P.C. in January 2011. Mrs. Casas' practice focuses on wrongful death, personal injury, and commercial litigation. Robert L. Speers

Bob Speers earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 1967, and went on to obtain his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1972. After law school, Mr. Speers practiced at the Aurora law firm of Reid, Ochsenschlager, Murphy & Hupp until 1979 when he, George Lindner, and Tim Reuland formed Lindner, Speers & Reuland, P.C. In November 2006, the firm became Speers, Reuland & Cibulskis, P.C. Mr. Speers concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death litigation, and mediation and arbitration of personal injury, wrongful death, and commercial cases. He has tried cases to verdict over 60 times in jury trials involving automobile collisions, products liability, construction site injuries, premises liability, defamation, dramshop, fire loss, and causes of action under Illinois' Animal Control Act. These cases have involved death, paralysis, brain injury, amputation, and other catastrophic injuries. From 1972 through 2003, he handled hundreds of cases for Farmers' Insurance, including 36 jury verdicts. In Kane County, he has two jury verdicts in excess of $1 million. Mr. Speers is also certified as a civil mediator for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, and has been a mediator in over 600 tort and commercial litigation cases. He has been selected as an arbitrator in over 140 cases. Mr. Speers is a member of the American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Kane County Bar Association, serving as the Kane County Bar Association President in 1988-89. Timothy J. Reuland

Timothy J. Reuland is a 1973 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law cum laude where he served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago in 1970, and was a recipient of the President's Medallion. Mr. Reuland has been actively engaged in civil trial work for four decades. He has extensive experience in all types of personal injury litigation, including wrongful death, products liability, professional negligence, and vehicle crash cases. He also regularly litigates business and commercial cases, such as shareholder and partnership disputes, corporate dissolutions, will contests, and contract cases. Notable results include the recovery of $1.3 million for a factory worker who lost four fingertips, $1.85 million for a man injured in a car accident, $3 million for two elderly people injured in an automobile crash, and $1.3 million for a man killed in a collision with a semi truck. Mr. Reuland is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Illinois State and Kane County Bar Associations. He has been invited to speak on multiple occasions at continuing legal education seminars sponsored by the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and the Kane County Bar Association.
