Sustainable Operations Solutions, LLC was formed in 2008 to provide consulting services to help companies make significant and sustainable improvements in workplace safety, process safety management, capital effectiveness, operational excellence and risk management and reduction. It's Founder and President, James B. Porter, Jr. (Jim) received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1965. Following military service he joined the DuPont Company and spent more than 42 years where he held various technical and managerial positions in engineering and manufacturing. He was named Vice President of Engineering in 1996 and he became Vice President of Safety, Health & Environment and Engineering in 2004.
