SWANSON DENTAL - Key Persons
Ana graduated from the University of Otago School of Dentistry. Her passion and enthusiasm for dentistry drive her to provide dentistry of the highest quality. Her twenty years of experience in the field allow her to manage challenging clinical cases with ease. Her wealth of knowledge and experience gained as a part of the Maxillo-Facial Surgery team in Dunedin Hospital has equipped her with exceptional clinical skills in oral surgical procedures such as difficult extractions and management of oral pathology. She has also been involved in research projects at the Dental School in Dunedin as well as teaching Clinical Dentistry to final year Dentistry students.
Ana is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and has completed additional training in:
Botox and Dermal Fillers in Harley Street, London,
Teeth straightening treatments such as Invisalign and Fast Braces,
Implants and Cosmetic Dentistry training.
Outside of dentistry, Ana is a mum to two beautiful girls, Cristina and Catarina. She is a keen traveler, loves the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. It is a little known secret that she is a bit of a latin dance enthusiast and loves playing the guitar when her family and friends get together.
Elena is our Dental Hygienist. She is a 2004 University of Otago School of Dentistry graduate. Her profound experience allows her to offer an all-around comprehensive periodontal care catered for each patient's individual needs. Although her treatment approach is prevention focussed, she undertakes challenging treatment with great confidence.
She likes to keep herself well informed with the latest advancements in modern dentistry and is always discovering new ways to improve her patients' oral heath care. Elena is very gentle, bubbly and engaging, and our patients love her.
She is a proud mum of three very accomplished children and loves spending time with her family and two beautiful Border Collies.

Rebecca is an experienced general dentist who is confident in providing a range of dental treatments. She is a 2013 graduate of the University of Otago School of Dentistry. She continues to advance her professional development with ongoing courses in different aspects of dentistry. Rebecca has a passion for helping all patients achieve confident healthy smiles. She appreciates peoples' difficulties with dental treatments, works with them to create treatment which is long lasting and addresses their issues holistically. Rebecca is very knowledgeable and competent dentist. Her great presence and sense of humour are refreshing and animating.
In her spare time Rebecca enjoys drawing, pastel drawing, baking and cooking. She loves being outdoors and enjoys paddle boarding and scuba diving, going for walks and hiking. She has done 3 of the Great Walks and she is planning on completing the other 7.
