Abby Conklin

Job Titles:

Abby was drawn to ZERO not only because of its empowering mission, but also because of the incredible team camaraderie she noticed right off the bat within the ZERO team. Being a former college basketball player herself, she knows the importance of being able to trust and collaborate with her teammates to achieve a collective goal. With several family members affected by cancer, Abby understands how vital early detection is and why it is so important for patients to be aware of their options and the research surrounding them. ZERO has helped to create an unwavering community of supportive and dedicated people, committed to ending prostate cancer every day, and she is so excited to be a part of it! In her spare time Abby enjoys playing guitar, going to the movies, and participating in local sports leagues.

Jen Gomes

Job Titles:
  • Vice President of Operations

Her family's team, Warren's Warriors, ran the Boston Run/Walk to show her dad that he was not alone. She also attended the Annual Advocacy Summit on Capitol Hill for two years to share her story with her elected officials and the importance of prostate cancer research funding. Her blue hair was her unique way to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Answering frequent questions about her hair color proved to be the perfect opportunity to show her support and educate others about the disease. When the opportunity to join the ZERO team became available, it was a natural fit for Jen who wanted to do more to end the disease that took her father's life. She doesn't want any more daughters and sons to lose their fathers. Her compassion and desire to help save lives started at the American Red Cross working on their health and safety team. Before joining ZERO, Jen spent 15 years in the juvenile products industry identifying pain points in parenting and creating top-selling products to reduce stress for babies, children, and parents. As Vice President of Operations, Jen helps ZERO run smoothly and stay up to date and efficient on all organizational strategies. When she's not educating, raising awareness, and fighting prostate cancer in her father's memory, she's baking cupcakes with her son or watching The Office with her husband. She's also got a music library filled with grunge music and one hit wonders from the 80's.
