Chandan Kumar Mandal

Chandan is a Communications Officer at Healthwatch Greenwich. He has a decade of experience in journalism, media production, and communications for non-profits. He has extensively covered a wide range of social justice and environmental issues, including migrants' rights, human trafficking, social justice, minority rights, environment, wildlife, and climate change. Chandan is passionate about being the voice of the voiceless and believes in working for the upliftment of the most downtrodden in society. He joined Healthwatch Greenwich because of its mission to end inequalities in health and social care by improving services and making them accessible to everyone. Chandan is responsible for managing all of Healthwatch Greenwich's social media channels, hosting and maintaining the website, producing the monthly newsletter, and writing the monthly feedback report.

Dr Deepa Srivastava

Deepa has served in various capacities within the United States across higher education and community-based settings, where she demonstrated robust research and evaluation insights focusing on health promotion, health equity, and obesity prevention across the lifespan. Her passion lies in improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities among marginalised communities. By implementing innovative public involvement strategies and cultivating strong community partnerships, she remains committed to positively impact people's lives, prioritising the integration of public perspectives in shaping policies and practices within the realm of health and social care services.

Folake Segun

Folake is the Director, South East London Healthwatch. Folake liaises with the six local Healthwatch organisations in South East London and presents Healthwatch, patient, and public views to the new South East London Clinical Commissioning Group (SEL CCG). Folake has extensive experience in public involvement, engagement and representation. She has been involved in local Healthwatch since 2013. Her most recent role was as Chief Executive of Healthwatch Lewisham.

Joy Beishon - CEO

Joy is the Chief Executive of Healthwatch Greenwich and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Healthwatch Greenwich's work. Joy supports and advises the Board and manages the Healthwatch Team to ensure that Healthwatch Greenwich truly reflects the voice of the community, providing evidence based information to service providers and commissioners ensuring services can be improved. Joy has extensive experience of research, policy, public affairs and advocacy. Having previously held senior positions within the voluntary and public sector her work has included co-designed community health projects, innovative approaches to supporting women's health needs, using the natural environment to improve psychological health, social prescribing and peer support groups for bereaved parents.

Kiki Bourcha

Kiki worked as a social worker in Greece and Ireland as well as in the volunteer management field for national charity organisations. She has extensive experience in community development and engagement, and she is passionate about social mobility and cohesion. Promoting equity in all aspects of public engagement is one of her main professional aims. As an Engagement Manager her main objective is to develop effective relationships with groups and organisations to promote Healthwatch Greenwich.

Nakkita De Silva

Nakkita has a postgraduate degree in Anthropology of Development and Social Transformation, she has focused on topics such as Poverty, Vulnerability and Community Activism. Her interests are in how rights are upheld, especially during times of crisis and amplifying the voices of those most marginalised. She is passionate about giving back to the community she has grown up in and the services she has used, as a carer. She is the Admin and Projects assistant, lending her support to the wider team in the various ways. She joined Healthwatch Greenwich because of their commitment to centring people's voices and experiences in order to make meaningful, transformative change.
