Dermot Mannion

Mr Mannion is a well-known figure in the airline industry with over 30 years of experience, operating across three continents. Mr. Mannion had a distinguished career at Emirates in Dubai between 1985 and 2005, rising to the position of President Group Support Services. Subsequently, he held the position of Aer Lingus CEO between 2005 and 2009, completing the privatization of the airline. More recently, in the capacity of Deputy Chairman of Royal Brunei Airlines, he played a key role in the award-winning rebranding and restructuring program of the airline. Mr. Mannion is now a consultant based in Ireland with an involvement at advisory and board level in a number of aviation projects worldwide. He has also completed a four-year term of office on the board of the one of the largest IT companies based in Singapore. Mr. Mannion is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and is a graduate of Trinity College Business School, Dublin. He also holds a Diploma in Executive Coaching from Irish Management Institute.

Mr. Doonan is Managing Director of Doonan Aviation Limited and he has many years experience providing engineering services in the MRO and aircraft leasing sector in Ireland and the EU. He is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer holding a B1 EASA Part-66 license with a number of Boeing and Airbus aircraft type ratings. Over several years Mr. Doonan has developed a pool of highly experienced commercial and technical consultants within Doonan Aviation available at short notice to a wide range of clients in the MRO, Airline and leasing sectors. He holds with Merit a MSc in Aircraft Maintenance Management from City London University and is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
