Matthew Daley

Matthew is a graduate of the Universities of Wales, Aberystwyth and Buckingham. After initial forays into the law and journalism, he joined the Executive Recruitment Industry some 16 years ago. He first worked for a niche property investment and development consultancy recruiting Chartered Surveyors and Fund Managers. He was keen to work at the most senior levels and moved to a start-up Technology Media and Telecom Headhunters as senior Researcher, working on prestigious assignments across Europe and the US. He then become Head of Research for Hanover Fox International and was appointed a Consultant in 2005. In 2007 Matthew joined Veredus a major UK Public and Private Sector search firm working across a variety of sectors including industry, financial services, healthcare, education local government, sport and the charities. For over 10 years he has worked within most sectors, for SMEs, PLCs and public bodies at the most senior levels, making him a highly experienced and adaptable recruiter with the ability to identify talent across markets . In 2010 he founded Equus International. Matthew has a keen interest all sports, gardening, sings with a local Choral Society and is member of the Monmouthshire Advisory Committee of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society.

Nicola Platt

Nicola is a graduate from Reading University and started her working life as a Management and Valuation Surveyor for Daniel Smith Chartered Surveyors. She first entered the recruitment industry in 1995 working for the Angela Mortimer Group where she became one of their senior consultants and recruiting across the sectors. She went on to work for a venture capitalist who had recently acquired the New Covent Garden Soup Company and Caffe Nero. She set up the HR and Personnel functions for the Caffe Nero Group and co-ordinated the PR, image re-branding and investor relations. Nicola joined Odgers Ray & Berndtson (now Odgers Berndtson) in 1999 and worked for Ian Odgers in the Board Practice before moving across to the newly formed Not-for-Profit and Healthcare Practices to work for Virginia Bottomley as her Executive Assistant and Business Developer. She successfully and consistently worked at senior level, on market sensitive assignments. She left Odgers in 2005 to have a family and has since pursued a portfolio career as a Freelance Recruiter and Researcher, Advisory Board Member for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society and Head of Sponsorship for the British Eventing Monmouthshire One Day Event.

Philip Carling

Philip is a former Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire and Glamorgan County Cricket Clubs and Swansea Rugby Club. He was a member of the Test and County Cricket Board from 1978-1990. He served as Chair of the Sports Council for Wales and as a Board Member of UK Sport and the UK Sports Cabinet from 2004 to 2010. He was also Chair of UK Sport's Remuneration and Audit Committees. He is currently Vice Chair of United Kingdom Anti- Doping, the agency recently established by government to protect the integrity of sport in the UK with particular emphasis on the Olympic Games in London 2012. With the firm's intended focus on recruitment in the sporting arena and with considerable experience of recruitment there, both in the private and public sector, Philip brings a broad range of relevant experience to the firm
