Lauren Sick

Lauren Sick is a writer and director, known for her music video work with artists such as Chromeo, MØ, Foster the People, A-Trak, American Authors, El-P, Vampire Weekend, A$AP Ferg, Anderson East, and Pentatonix. She recently directed the first teaser trailer for MGM Studios' biopic RESPECT, starring Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin. Lauren grew up in the dark woods of suburbia, screening inappropriate horror movies at slumber parties. A lover of horror and genre filmmaking, she was a creative collaborator on the feature film SCARE ME, starring Josh Ruben, Aya Cash, and Chris Redd, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020. A multifaceted director, Lauren's work spans both the narrative and branded space, having grabbed the attention of clients such as New Balance, Nike, Garmin, Fendi, FADER, Nasdaq, Soulcycle, and Beats By Dre. The spot she directed for Zola.com provoked international attention when the Hallmark Channel removed the ad for its depiction of a lesbian wedding. The piece (since re-instated on the network) was written about in the New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Rolling Stone, and Deadline, and was parodied on Saturday Night Live.

Malte Rosenfeld

Malte Rosenfeld is an award wining cinematographer. Born in Hamburg, he grew up in Ireland, before moving to Berlin and later Lodz to study cinematography at the Polish National Film School before settling in London. He shot his first feature film ‘Little Wires' in the last year at Lodz which was awarded among many awards the Jantar for ‘best cinematography' at Koszalin FF. In London he established himself in commercials and winning a Kinsale Shark for the cinematography of ‘Malle - Prepared to get Lost' He continues to work on selected features films with strong director collaborations. The film ‘Papagajka' directed by Emma Rozanski premiered at SXSW and the Netflix Original ‘Close' was the third feature film with director Vicky Jewson. He recently completed the film ‘It will be fine' ( ‘Jakos to Bedzie' ) with long time collaborator director Sylwester Jakimow. With roots in photography, lighting and documentary films the emphasis in all his work is character portraiture and visual story arch to support and carry the story. We reached out to get to know Malte and find out what he's been working on. Fabrik: Hi Malte and thanks for your time. Would you like to share a little bit more about you? Malte Rosenfeld: "Very glad to be here. I am a cinematographer living in London - born in Germany, brought up in Ireland, studied cinematography a the Polish National Film School in Lodz, before moving to London 10 years ago. My parents were photographers so I kind of grew up in the studio. On the way to being a DP I worked my way up through the lighting department and documentary films, before going to film school."

Max Boerman took a calculated leap of faith: While fresh out of university he packed his bags and decided to jump across the pond and follow his dreams in the city that never sleeps - New York City. Having graduated with his master's in Architectural Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Max took a job at architecture and design firm Archi-Tectonics in Manhattan, New York. Exposure in an international setting and the scalability of projects gave him the opportunity to conceptualize and draw winning architectural designs across the globe.

Whilst viewing her portfolio, you will find experiments and learning processes through movement and simulation. We got in touch to find out more about Raquel's work: Raquel Villa: "Hey! I am Raquel Villa, a 3D artist with a deep curiosity about the intersection of strange behaviours and physics. What has always drawn me to art is probably the playful aspect of it and the learning by doing. At school, I was fascinated with a subject called technical drawing, which blended artistic freedom with technical constraints. To me, that was the perfect balance - the ability to play and learn freely, but with rules to make it work.
