The origins of Thor Homecare go back to 1978, when Stefon Eidson began trading as a self employed joiner in Halifax. Working to high standards, his business flourished, and to make the next step, two properties at the Halifax end of King Cross were purchased and renovated along with Mel Wilkinson, with 159 King Cross becoming the home of the new business and showroom, with Thor Homecare, opening in 1983. The name derives from a boss carving of the Norse God, Thor, above the doorway. Though the showroom is no longer a feature of the Thor Homecare base, the two properties are still our home, with offices now being commercial let... Thor Homecare is now run by Gary Eidson, Stefon's son, who has taken the business to new heights, including commercial joinery projects, solar PV installations, and as of 2015, a fully kitted joinery workshop located at the rear of the property, opposite to Sainsbury's in King Cross... Thor Homecare Ltd are joiners based in Halifax, West Yorkshire...
