Damien Conroy

Damien graduated from Trinity College in 2004 with an honour's degree. He qualified as a solicitor in January 2010 and joined Augustus Cullen Law in 2012. Damien has extensive litigation experience acting for both Claimants and Defendants and bringing disputes a successful conclusion. Damien is a regular lecturer in the law society. Damien holds post-graduate diplomas in Commercial Litigation, Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law, and Social Media and Media Law.

David Lavelle

David specialises in the areas of Commercial Property, Commercial Leases, and has amassed considerable experience in the areas of Agricultural Property (to include easements and rights of way). He has a particular expertise in negotiating large commercial and retail leases. His clients include developers whom he advises on the acquisition, construction, finance and development of large-scale mixed use schemes. Edel O'Brien

Edel acts on behalf of vendors and purchasers in commercial and residential property transactions. She deals with residential and commercial leases as well as commercial and residential mortgages, voluntary transfers, applications for first registrations, easements, and rights of way. She specialises in conveyancing, and probate matters, including wills, probate and administration of estates, the extraction of all types of grants of representation including dealing with complicating factors such as incapacitated administrators, appointment of committees, and probate litigation.

Eleanor McKiernan

Eleanor qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and has been in practice in the town of Gorey, County Wexford for over 15 years. Eleanor specialises in property law both residential and commercial and has extensive experience in the areas of property sales and purchasers, both residential and commercial, new residential housing developments, agricultural land, voluntary transfers and mortgages. She also has considerable experience in dealing with Enduring Powers of Attorney, Wills, Probate and Landlord and Tenant leases. Eleanor is a member of the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society of Ireland and the current Vice-Chair.

Eoin Collins

Eoin is a solicitor in the Medical Negligence Department, with extensive experience of Plaintiff Personal Injuries and Medical Negligence litigation including claims involving birth injuries and cerebral palsy, oncology, surgical injuries and nervous shock claims. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2005 with an honours Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies degree and also holds a Masters in Public Law from NUI Galway. After spending several years in the financial sector, Eoin joined ACL as a trainee in 2014.

George Colley

George is a solicitor in the General Litigation Department and works on a broad range of litigation matters for both private clients and companies. George has extensive experience in dealing with employment law issues, personal injury, defamation, professional negligence and debt recovery matters. He graduated from University of the West of England in 2012 with an honours Degree in Law. George completed the Honorable Society of Kings Inns Barrister-at-Law degree and practiced as a Barrister between 2015 and 2018. George trained and qualified with a prominent commercial firm in Dublin, and joined ACL in March 2022.

Gus Cullen

Gus deals with a broad range of litigation matters and has gained a wealth of experience since qualifying in 1987. He has since obtained further qualifications relevant to the requirements of litigation and dispute resolution. He is also trained and experienced in Collaborative Law, Arbitration, Conciliation and Alternative Dispute Resolution as well as being an Accredited Mediator.

Jamie is the managing partner of Augustus Cullen Law. He has specialised in medical negligence litigation since completing his traineeship in Augustus Cullen Law's medical negligence team and qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. He became a Partner in 2013 and lectures and tutors in Medical Law & Litigation in the Law Society of Ireland's Professional Practice Course as well as being an invited lecturer at legal and pharmaceutical conferences. Jamie has successfully concluded many medical negligence actions with particular emphasis on birth injury cases including cerebral palsy, maternal injuries including third and fourth degree perineal tears, spinal injuries, delayed diagnosis of cancer and has been actively involved in many of the leading medical negligence authorities including O'Donnell v McEntee, Davoren v HSE, Warnock v NMH.

Joice Carthy

Joice graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Law and has a Master's Degree from Cambridge University. She lectures and tutors regularly in Medical Law and Litigation on the Professional Practice Course at the Law Society of Ireland and also lectures at and chairs medical negligence conferences. She has extensive experience of a wide variety of medical negligence cases and has been involved in landmark decisions. She has successfully concluded numerous extremely complex and high value birth injury cases.

Marie Hynes

Marie is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the General Litigation Department, where she deals with a wide range of litigation involving the protection of personal and commercial interests, including contractual, commercial and property claims, employment disputes and personal injury matters. She graduated from the University of Limerick in 2008 with an LLB Honours degree in Law and European Studies and in 2010 obtained an LLM Masters from Queen's University Belfast. Marie tutors on the Litigation module at the Law Society professional practice course and has lectured on the Law Society Diploma in Law.

Mary Ni Ghuairim

While with Augustus Cullen Law, Mary has gained extensive experience in the Medical Negligence including a wide variety of medical claims involving Cerebral Palsy and Birth Injuries, Gynaecological and Obstetric Injuries, Oncology and Cancer Claims, Wrongful Death actions, General Surgical, Accident and Emergency Medicine, Nervous Shock Claims, Orthopaedic and Dental Claims. Mary is also qualified to practice through Irish and is registered on the Irish Language Register of the Law Society of Ireland.

Neil Kidd

Neil has specialised in medical negligence litigation since joining Augustus Cullen Law's medical negligence team in 2012. He has successfully concluded countless medical negligence actions including wrongful death actions, catastrophic birth injury and spinal injury cases together with matters arising out the misdiagnosis of cancer, negligent surgical procedures, nerve damage, orthopaedic injuries and gynaecological injuries. Neil has addressed the Oireachtas Health Committee on healthcare issues and has also lectured and tutored on the Law Society of Ireland's Medical Law & Litigation course.

Ray Fitzpatrick
