Arica Rock

Arica J. Rock earned her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University and her Master of Science in audiology from Illinois State University. She earned her clinical doctorate at A.T. Still University. Dr. Rock is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Illinois Academy of Audiology, earned her certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice audiology by the State of Illinois. She has worked in various settings including hospitals and ENT offices. Dr. Rock chose the field of audiology after seeing firsthand how hearing challenges affected family members close to her. She wanted to have an impact on improving the daily lives of people with hearing changes, and enjoys working closely with people of various ages and backgrounds. In her free time, she enjoys camping with her husband and children, and she loves to read. Dr. Rock can be seen at either our Bloomington or Pontiac offices.

Natalie M. McKee

Natalie M. McKee earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Salus University. Her experiences include clinical settings in the Rockford area, Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. McKee purchased Bloomington-Normal Audiology in 2012, after 7 years of understudy with the original owner, Dr. Deborah Pitcher. BNA was the first private practice audiology clinic in Bloomington-Normal when it began in 1990; building a reputation of providing state-of-the art technology in audiology to Central Illinois. Dr. McKee is honored to continue BNA's esteemed reputation. Dr. McKee chose the field of Audiology following the diagnosis of her own hearing loss. She feels that this personal experience allows her to better understand and assist the patients she sees. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and has special expertise in evaluating persons with dizziness/vestibular disorders. This expertise has led to a partnership with Central Illinois Institute of Balance to provide a comprehensive assessment in their balance clinic. Active participation in the community is important to Dr. McKee. This began with her experiences as an exchange student to Norway in 1995. Since then, she has remained in contact with her ‘adoptive' family in Norway. She is also a member of the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees and has served as their Administrative VP, President, and Chairman of the Board. Dr. McKee is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and Illinois Academy of Audiology (ILAA), earned her Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice Audiology by the State of Illinois. She remains active locally by representing the ILAA at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science State Science Fair as a specialty judge for those projects dealing with hearing science and sound. Dr. McKee can be seen at our Bloomington office as well as our Pontiac office for hearing related concerns. For balance related concerns, she provides assessments at Central Illinois Institute of Balance located at 211 Landmark Drive, Suite E3 in Normal.

Sara Hanley

Sara Hanley earned her Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and her clinical doctorate from Rush University. She previously worked as a clinical audiologist at Midwest ENT Consultants. Dr. Hanley is also a Blue Ridge High School graduate and grew up as a BNA patient. From ages 8-10 she dealt with infections, surgeries, and a conductive hearing loss diagnosis, which made hearing devices a daily part of her life. Her personal experience with hearing devices gives her an empathetic connection with patients, and her history as a BNA patient gives her a deep understanding of our practice. Dr. Hanley can be seen in our Bloomington office.

Stacy A. Chalmers

Stacy A. Chalmers earned her Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and her Master of Science in audiology from the University of Arizona. She holds a clinical doctorate in audiology from Salus University. Dr. Chalmers is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Illinois Academy of Audiology, earned her certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice audiology by the State of Illinois. Dr. Chalmers chose the field of Audiology based on a strong desire to help others, and she enjoys the opportunity to work with a diverse population of patients and their families. Dr. Chalmers grew up in Bloomington-Normal and is a longtime employee of BNA, first joining the practice as a member of the front office staff during her undergraduate study at ISU. She and her husband have three young sons and stay busy with a variety of school and church activities. Dr. Chalmers can be seen in our Bloomington office.

Suzy Mahoney

Suzy holds bachelor's degrees in both biology and education. She spent 20 years at a major insurance company before joining the team. During that time, she wore many hats as a business analyst, supervisor, and benefits analyst. Her passion for helping others with their health and well-being thrived during her final role as a wellness coordinator. Suzy is honored to be a part of the BNA family because of their focus on community, family, and team. The leadership does a great job of empowering both their patients and staff members to live and do well. She's overjoyed that her love of helping people along their journey to improved holistic well-being can continue in the context of better hearing health. Suzy and her husband, Patrick, are very proud of the young adults their three children have become. They're both active in their youth hockey community and as volunteers for Camp Ondessonk. They love the great outdoors, playing and listening to music, and being physically active. She is confident her overall wellness, including her career well-being, will continue to thrive as an employee at BNA.
