Aleksei Sereda

Alexander Linnikov - Founder

Alexander Linnikov is the founder of the firm and leader of the solid L&P team since 2002. At the time of establishment of the professional association that substituted the obsolete structure of the firm in 2007 Alexander was unanimously selected Chairman of the Council of the newly founded bar association. Alexander graduated magna cum laude from the International Law Department of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (the MGIMO University) in 1999 and two years later received a magna cum laude master degree from the European Law Institute of the MGIMO. However attractive were his career opportunities in many different spheres at that time, Alexander consciously chose to pursue a private law practice. At the time of joining the Moscow Regional Bar Association in 2001 Alexander, then only 22 years old, became one of the youngest attorneys of the Russian bar. In 2016 Alexander Linnikov was named the Honorary Advocate of the Moscow Regional Chamber of Advocates. Today Alexander's practice focuses primarily on banking and financial law, significant M&A transactions, complex economic crimes cases and development of legislative initiatives. Alexander personally supervises the work of Linnikov & Partners lawyers and attorneys with foreign clients. He leads the private consulting group that handles our clients' personal affairs in Russia and abroad and represents Russian and foreign shareholders in the boards of directors of joint-venture companies and banks. Alexander devotes a great deal of time and effort to academic research. Since the mid-1990's he studies theorey and practice of banking supervision in the European Union and Russia. Alexander has published over two dozens of articles and books on matters of international, European, and Russian law. Some of his works were written in foreign languages and published abroad. Alexander has contributed to several editions of the fundamental European Law textbook published by the EU Law Department of the Moscow State Law University. Alexander's publications are based on profound research of Russian and foreign sources that is facilitated by remarkable English, Italian, and German skills. Alexander Linnikov was recieved a doctor's degree in legal science in 2008. In 2016 he was Associate Professor of the Department of Word Economy and International Finance of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. Professor Linnikov teaches courses closely related to his professional practice - International Business and the Basics of International Entrepreneurship and Legal Discipline of International Business - to undergraduate and masters' students. Alexander Linnikov successfully combines a prospering law practice academic work with important public functions. He serves on several advisory, coordination, and expert boards established by the Council of the Federation, the Civic Chamber of the Russia, the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service and other state authorities and public entities. Alexander believes that contributing to the development of advanced legislative initiatives is a top priority of his civic service as a legal expert. Alexander Linnikov is the recipient of numerous prizes, awards and commendations awarded to him by state authorities, public entities and the Russian Orthodox Church.

Alexei Sereda

Alexei Sereda graduated magna cum laude from the Faculty of Law of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2015. Thanks to his active research work during the Postgraduate Studies, Alexei was awarded with the Scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation and was invited to become a visiting researcher at Anglia Ruskin University, Faculty of Law in Cambridge, UK. This experience allowed Alexei to broaden his knowledge in the area of international and British law. Alexei successfully passed the bar exam in 2022 and was admitted to Linnikov & Partners as an associate by unanimous vote of the Council of the Association. Alexei Sereda is a multi-time winner and runner-up of global and national mind games championships. In 2019 Alexei became the youngest participant of the Jubilee tournament of the Russian version of Jeopardy! TV show and won the First Brain-Ring World Championship.

Anton Minakov

Anton Minakov was recruited by Linnikov & Partners right after graduation from the international law department of the Moscow Statute Institute of International Relations (the MGIMO University). Despite young age and limited experience, Anton is no stranger to hard work. He started working part time as a student, while also engaged in various extracurricular activities, which contributed to his professional growth and development. During his studies Anton was one of the active members and reporters of the MGIMO Comparative Law Club and the Russian Foreign Affairs Club. Anton takes academic interest is comparative law studies. He is the author of numerous articles on administrative and constitutional law of foreign states and matters of international law. During his very first months with Linnikov & Partners Anton has proved himself as a valuable member of the firm's litigation team working alongside seasoned lawyers on some of the most intricate cases. Today he is a young but fully accomplished professional who successfully handles civil and administrative cases and represents clients in family and probate disputes. Anton successful passed the bar exam in 2016 and was admitted to Linnikov & Partners as an associate by unanimous vote of the Council of the Association. Through hard work and desire for professional excellence Lilia transformed a modest accounting division into a full-scale back office that efficiently manages the financial side of business of the firm. Lilia is responsible for crucial financial aspects of the firm's business, taxation, and maintaining of financial stability of the firm. Lilia exercises strict and consistent control over the discipline of fulfillment of the firm's obligations to its suppliers and business partners. Lilia is also in charge of the personnel service, maintains the staff files and is involved in the process of selection of candidates in case there are openings on the Linnikov & Partners staff. Lilia firmly and consistently upholds the highest professional and ethical standards of the firm. Her profound professional expertise and high ethical qualities are attested by the Certificate of a Professional Chief Accountant and full membership in the Russian Institute of Professional Accountants. Sergey Kloss is an expert in corporate finances, international transactions and payments.
