Welcome to The Optics and Photonics Society at Montana State University (formerly the SPIE Student Chapter at MSU)! We are comprised of a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in the fields of optics and photonics. Our organization is affiliated with both SPIE and Optica, and serves as Montana State University's student chapter for both organizations. We hold monthly metings in which MSU faculty or professionals from industry give a brief (about 45-minute) presentation on their area of research or development. We also organize company tours and participate in outreach events with the goal of connecting members with the optics community in and around Bozeman.
