Dale Ziegler

Dale Ziegler is the President of Canadian Plains Energy Services a subsidiary of Strike Group Limited Partnership. Having spent 35 years in the oil and gas industry, Dale brings solid leadership qualities and advanced knowledge in pipeline, facilities and maintenance to the organization. He began his oil and gas journey as a labourer and was promoted to increasingly senior positions throughout his career. In his most senior role at AECOM (formerly Flint Energy Services), Dale was the Vice President of the Plains Region and was responsible for overseeing all phases of the production service lines including leading up to 1,500 employees in 15 locations across three provinces. Dale's wealth of experience and professionalism is well respected in the industry. He has taken leadership training through Franklin Covey, and cultural sensitivity & workplace diversity training through Blue Quills University. In 2018, he participated in the Rescue on the Prairies fundraiser and personally raised $97,580 for the STARS Foundation. He continues to give back to the community as a volunteer firefighter in the town where he resides in Saskatchewan. He is committed to safety, unparalleled quality and believes in giving back to the community.

Darren Hall - CFO

Darren Hall is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Strike Group Limited Partnership. Darren has 30 years of experience leading teams and managing finances in the energy and IT industries. Darren joined Strike in 2014 as Strike's Controller and took on the role of CFO in 2019. Darren constantly strives for efficiency and effectiveness in delivering targeted financial information and advice to various stakeholders in pursuit of Strike's vision to be a sustainable, professionally led, and profitable organization. Prior to joining Strike, Darren spent 13 years at Champion Technologies, a specialty chemical company focused on the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. During his tenure at Champion Darren's role evolved to Director of Finance for the $500M Canadian operation. Darren also gained valuable experience during two secondments to the SAP implementation teams for the Canadian and US businesses. Darren is a Chartered Professional Accountant and earned his Certified General Accountant in 1997 after attaining a Business Administration & Accounting Diploma from SAIT.

Grant Humphreys

After a rewarding education career in Saskatchewan, Grant relocated to Calgary in 2000 and entered into the oil and gas industry as a business development consultant for various service companies. In this consultant role, Grant gained extensive knowledge and created a broad network of key individuals throughout Western Canada. These relationships helped to uncover opportunities for the companies he represented. Grant joined Strike Group in November 2012 as Account Manager and has held several roles in business development, which he has used to develop and enhance strategic customer relationships. During his time as the Vice President, Business Development he aimed to create awareness around Strike's brand and capabilities, and develop and enhance strategic customer relationships. He has led the sales, proposal, marketing, and communication teams through the development and implementation of processes and procedures to help achieve Strike's vision to be a sustainable, professionally led, profitable organization. Grant has 20 years of oil and gas industry experience and is strongly dedicated to demonstrating strong leadership at Strike as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Services. Grant is a member of various energy associations including Petroleum Services Association of Canada, Alberta Construction Association, Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, Canadian Energy Executives Association, Canadian Heavy Oil Association, Circle for Aboriginal Relations, Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and TEC Canada (The Executive Committee). Grant graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and in 1994 with a Bachelor of Education. In 2000, Grant received his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University.

Stephen D. Smith - CEO, President

Stephen has held a number of leadership and executive management positions in the energy and construction services industries. Stephen joined Flint Canada Inc. in 1982 and held various positions including VP Finance, VP Operations, Senior VP, and President of Flint Canada Inc. In 2003, Stephen became President of Flint Eurasia Ltd. and in 2004 co-founded Strike Energy Services Inc. In 2006, Strike Energy Services Inc. and Flint Eurasia Ltd. were reorganized under Strike Group Inc. with Stephen as President and CEO. Strike Group Inc. has partnered with TriWest Capital Partners and now operates as Strike Group, of which, Stephen remains President & CEO. Stephen has been instrumental in driving Strike Group's vision to be a sustainable, professionally led, and profitable organization. Strike is a leading infrastructure construction and maintenance provider to the energy and industrial sectors. Canadian and employee-owned, with 1,200 employees in 23 locations in Western Canada, Strike provides exceptional service to an impressive list of well-known energy and industrial clients. Strike has been named as one of "Canada's Best Managed Companies" since 2007 and was also an Alberta "Contractor of the Year" recipient. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Prince Edward Island. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CGA) and has the Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D) from a collaboration between Rotman School of Management and Haskayne School of Business. Stephen has held various industry board and association memberships including Petroleum Services Association of Canada, Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, Alberta Construction Association, Canadian Heavy Oil Association and Chairman of the Leduc #1 Discovery Centre Advisory Board. He has been a Governor of the Canadian Executive Oilmen's Association for several years, including Director of the Oilmen's Business Forum held in Banff, Alberta each year. He has also served as a director or advisor to several non-profit and community organizations. Stephen is currently a member of TEC Canada (The Executive Committee) and Past President of the Calgary Petroleum Club.

Tyler Pawsey - COO

Tyler Pawsey is the Chief Operating Officer of Strike Group Limited Partnership. His career in the oil and gas industry began in 1995 when he joined Flint Energy Services Ltd. in Pincher Creek, Alberta. During Tyler's 10 years at Flint, he successfully graduated from the Management Trainee Program while based in Rainbow Lake, AB and became a Project Superintendent based out of Red Deer, AB and Calgary, AB. In 2005, Tyler left Flint and joined Strike Group as a shareholder and Project Superintendent. Tyler's education and years of experience have made him familiar with all aspects of the oil and gas industry. He is results-driven, and by applying his leadership, construction knowledge and problem-solving ability he has created a verifiable track record for the successful completion of major facility projects. Tyler's innovative construction approach has allowed him to effectively execute projects in a safe, cost-effective, schedule-driven, and quality-assured manner. As COO, Tyler now leads Strike's overall operational group strategy and is focused on achieving the company's mission of exceptional execution. Tyler studied Civil Engineering Technology at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation through the Project Management Institute, and has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree, specializing in Executive Management, from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. He is a member of The Executive Committee (TEC) Canada, the International Society of Business Leaders (ISoBL), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and is a repeat guest speaker at SAIT's pre-employment trade programs and other industry panels. Tyler has held several positions at Strike Group including Project Superintendent, Project Manager, General Manager, Director, Vice President, and Senior Vice President.
