Anna Smith

Anna has a strong Arts Administration background as a Box Office Manager, spending over 20 years working with venues in the south of England and for Salisbury International Arts Festival. During this time she setup ticketing systems in number of organisations, building teams and back office management and in 2015 she worked with the Directors of SAMC to assist with the setting up of the SAMC office. Anna is also the Administrator for Salisbury Area Young Musicians.

Emma Bolton

Emma became a Teacher-Member for SAMC in September of 2018 and joined the board of Directors in 2020. After graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama some 22 years ago, she went on to teach woodwind, firstly for the Wiltshire Music Service and then on a freelance basis. As well as teaching and conducting the West Wiltshire Intermediate Wind Band in Bradford-on-Avon, Emma also regularly plays in concerts, musicals and projects across the South West.

Jane Parsons

Jane was the driving force behind the formation of Salisbury Area Music Co-operative after the closure of Wiltshire Music Service in 2015. She has been Chair of Directors since then, and works closely with her fellow Directors and the Business Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Co-operative.

Matthew Hind

Matthew has been a Director of SAMC since it's inauguration in 2015. He acts as Vice-chair and brings experience gained through 18 years of teaching Brass lessons both individually and in groups, delivering First Access Whole Class lessons and directing a wide range of ensembles.

Rob Priestley

As well as nearly forty years of instrumental teaching, Rob brings to his Director role his previous experience as Acting Head of Wiltshire Music Service, Assistant Head of Wiltshire Music Service, Deputy Head of Coventry Performing Arts Service and Regional Head of Berkshire Young Musicians Trust. He has also played trombone professionally for over forty years, conducted and tutored student ensembles from beginner to advanced level, been a music setter for two ABRSM Trombone syllabuses and is a music reader for a well known publisher. He has a keen interest in management and administration and has been involved in the setting up of several music service database systems.

Sara Trenchard

Sara became a Teacher Member for SAMC in 2015 and joined the board of Directors in 2020. She started her career in West Yorkshire where she developed a love of teaching violin and viola before moving to Wiltshire Music Service in 2000. She is passionate about First Access whole class instrumental teaching which she has been delivering for many years around the Salisbury area. As well as teaching Sara performs locally and conducts string groups at Salisbury Area Young Musicians. When not working she is found stomping the fields of Wiltshire with her dog Bella!
