ANGEL'S APIARY

My husband & I have been admiring honey bees for years. We've been beekeeping in Ohio since 2010 when a swarm found our equipment. Before that we lived in Michigan where my husband kept bees on our hobby farm. We are active members of the Sandusky River Valley Beekeepers Association & the Ohio State Beekeeping Association. In 2018 I received my Master Beekeeping certificate from Montana University. We have our apiary inspected yearly by the Ohio State Apiary Inspector to help ensure that our bees & queens are disease free... We try to keep our bees as naturally as possible. We limit our miticides to organic acids, leave plenty of natural honey on the hives for overwintering & change out foundation regularly to remove any pesticide residues in the wax. We provide integrated pest management practices to reduce the number of mites attacking our developing pupa by breaking the mites breeding cycle, using screened bottom boards & dusting with powdered sugar.
