GRAPHIC ARTS LEAGUE

Graphic Arts League is a Syracuse University printmaking organization managed by printmaking majors. GAL is open to all students in and outside the school of Visual and Performing Arts, encouraging and inviting all majors to come and print. The advantages of joining GAL is access to the print shop, under the attendance of a print major. GAL has weekly demos of different print processes such as lithography, silk screening, intaglio, and relief. Graphic Arts League has participated and printed on site at the Syracuse University events, Juice Jam and Orange Blast. GAL provides funding to bring visiting artists from around the country to demo, lecture, and critique students work. The league also has print sales each semester filled with undergrads, grads, and professor's prints sold at affordable prices. The earned income from the print sales will help print majors attend the annual Southern Graphic Conference. The printmaking conference will give the Syracuse University Print Department..
